Renaissance Health Medical Aid Fund

Renaissance Health Medical Aid Fund Renaissance Health Medical Aid Fund is an established and trusted health care scheme in Namibia. Renaissance Health is the first step to caring for your health.

Founded over 25 years ago, the fund offers quality & innovative services to suit the health care needs of Namibians from Windhoek to all corners of Namibia. Renaissance Health Medical Aid Fund was established in October 2003, in compliance with conditions for good corporate governance set by the industry regulator, the Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (Namfisa). In terms of regulations, a medical aid fund must be a non-profit organisation, which belongs to its members. Namfisa requires that an independent Board of Trustees be set up by each medical aid company. The Renaissance Health Medical Aid Fund Board of Trustees has years of experience and skill to manage the Fund in the best interest of the members. We aim to provide high quality, cost effective medical aid products to all our members. Our philosophy is based on caring for you and your loved ones, providing you with peace of mind. The name Renaissance Health Medical Aid Fund signifies a new era in healthcare. Our aim is to deliver affordable healthcare products to all Namibians, with a wide product offering, catering from lower to upper income groups. Renaissance Health Medical Aid Fund’s day to day operations are administered by Prosperity Health Namibia.

🧠 This October, we are putting mental health first.
Your well-being matters, and that starts with caring for your mind as much as your body. 💚

In this month’s Health Agenda, we explore the importance of prioritizing mental health, creating awareness, and accessing the right support when you need it most.

Let’s break the stigma together, because mental health is health.

Breast cancer does not choose gender.
While it is far more common in women, men can also develop breast cancer. Knowing the signs could save a life.

Look out for changes such as a lump in the chest area, swelling, skin dimpling, redness, or unusual ni**le discharge. If you notice anything unusual, get it checked right away.

Early detection makes all the difference. RMA members are entitled to one free mammogram each year as part of their preventative benefits and will earn 150 Benefit Wallet reward points for getting screened.

BREAK THE SILENCE WITH RMA IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LET'S TALK PSYCHOLOGISTS - THIS WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY

Too many people suffer in silence, believing they must face mental health challenges alone. But silence only deepens the struggle. Together, we can create a culture where it’s okay to talk, to reach out, and to seek help.

Clinical Psychologist Monya Louw from Let's Talk Psychologists reminds us that mental health deserves the same care and attention as physical health. Let’s keep the conversation going. 💚

BREAK THE SILENCE WITH RMA – IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LET'S TALK PSYCHOLOGISTS

1 in 4 people will experience a mental health challenge in their lifetime. In Namibia, stigma still holds many back from seeking help. Let’s change that together. Prioritise your mental well-being; it’s just as important as your physical health.
