Understanding a word as weighty as cancer shouldn't require a medical degree. Not for patients. Not for their families.
Clarity matters.
Still not clear on what is? Drop your questions in the comments.

It wasn't long after Venaune joined NOC that she noticed how most patients apologise before they ask a question.
As if needing information is an inconvenience.
As if being scared makes you a burden.
It doesn't. It makes you human!
There's no silly question when you're facing something this big. Ask about the medicine. Ask about the food. Ask what that beeping sound means. Ask again if you forget.
That's exactly what we're here for.

They're watching and learning. Mostly, they're counting on you.
PSA test walk-in service now available at our Eros and Swakopmund practices. No appointment needed. Takes 10 minutes to get your results... remember, clarity protects more than just you.

People fear the side effects almost as much as the diagnosis.
What they don't always know is that someone is already preparing for that. Before treatment even starts.
Every script Maritza prepares has two jobs: to fight the cancer, AND to look after the person fighting it. The things that make each day a little easier.
Cancer treatment has changed. And so has what we can do to help you through it.

The first oncology appointment will carry more anxiety than those that follow. And it’s not because of what happens in the consultation room, but because patients don't know what to expect.
Preparation isn't just practical. it's powerful. How about we take a walk through the process before you arrive?

I've walked hundreds of patients to their first treatment. People arrive expecting the worst. I wish they knew that most of what they've heard about cancer treatment is outdated. It's not what our grandparents went through. It's not what you saw on TV.
The more you ask, the less scary it gets. Because knowing makes it easier. And easier is a good place to start.

3 600 years ago, the first record of ended with five words:
"There is no treatment."
𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀. But progress only works if you meet it halfway:
• Screen early: before symptoms force the conversation
• Stay on track with treatment, even on the hard days
• Keep showing up after treatment ends, because finishing isn't the finish line
So, what should 3 600 years of progress mean for you? It means you don't have to carry the worry alone. It means there are answers. And it means the hardest part is often just making the call.

She's usually the very first voice you hear when you call us. Before you've met a doctor, before you've walked through the door, there's Alleta.
And after years of answering that phone, she's noticed something: most people have already spent weeks carrying the worry alone before they dial.
We get it. That call is hard. But here's what Alletta wants you to know: the silence is almost always worse than the answer.
So, when you're ready, call. And if you're not ready yet, that's okay too. We'll be here.
Today is .
To every patient who showed up when it was easier not to. To every family who held steady when the ground shifted. To every colleague who carries the weight of this work and comes back tomorrow.
We see you.

26 January 2016 was our official opening day, though we'd already been treating patients since May 2015. Our people needed cancer care, and we weren't about to wait for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to start providing it.
Nine years on from that opening (nearly eleven since our first patient), that same urgency drives us. We've grown into Namibia's only comprehensive cancer centre, offering everything from chemotherapy to the country's first stem cell transplant. Treatments that once meant leaving home, and often leaving hope behind.
To everyone who's trusted us with their fight: Thank You.
Here's to the next decade of proving that world-class care belongs here.
