Chronic headaches? 🤕
Not every headache needs a CT or MRI — but some symptoms do.
Most headaches are caused by tension, migraine, stress, or dehydration and don’t require imaging.
However, seek medical advice if headaches are accompanied by red-flag symptoms such as:
🚨 Sudden, severe “worst-ever” headache
🚨 New headache after age 50
🚨 Head injury
🚨 Weakness, numbness, vision or speech changes
🚨 Fever with stiff neck or confusion
🧠CT or MRI may be needed when these warning signs are present — your doctor will decide which scan is appropriate.
Listen to your body.
Not every headache is serious, but red flags should never be ignored.
