It is world tuberculosis day, and the clock is ticking fast. It's estimated that 407,000 HIV negative and 63,000 HIV positive nigerians have TB each year,with about 154,000 people dying each year from TB. Tuberculosis is a contagious infection that usually attacks the lungs. It can also spread to other body parts like the brain and spine. It is caused by a bacteria called MYCOBACTERIUM TUBERCULOSIS. Symptoms include; a cough that last more than 3 weeks, chest pain, coughing up blood, feeling tired all the time, loss of appetite, night sweats, chills, fever, weight loss. If you are having these symptoms,get medical help right away.......The clock is ticking,all hands on deck to end this epidemic by 2030.
