Roughly 17million people of the entire Nigerian populace is currently suffering from either chronic or early stage kidney disease. It's very unfortunate that kidney disease do not usually present with noticeable symptoms on time, so people suffering kidney disease will almost find it very difficult identifying what is wrong with them.
It's important one maintains healthy diet such as:
Eating less salt
Feeding on vegetables mostly
Drinking more water
Taking your medications as prescribed, most importantly.
Engaging in regular exercise too improves glomerular filtration rate thus enabling kidney functions.
Stop smoking, for smokers.
Limit sugar consumption and visit the hospital from time to time to know your kidney function status, it's very important.
A lot of people are good in abusing drugs, it's very lethal.
For people living in Ebonyi State Which is known as "Salt of the Nation" please reduce your rate of salt consumption, our water contains salt so taking more salt will put one in a Hypernatremic state.
Reduce the way you consume canned food, it's not good for your health, feed on fresh food not preserved ones.
CKD is very deleterious!
Take a look at the Urine sample below and tell me what you see?
