Are Mouthwashes Necessary?
Mouthwashes make our breath smell fresh and give us the feeling that our mouths clean. There are days we may not feel like brushing our teeth because we are in a hurry or just a little lazy and using a mouthwash might seem like the best way to get around that early morning bad breath. Mouthwashes prevent plaque, kills germs and make your breath fresh but they are not necessary as long as you brush and floss your teeth regularly and the right way. You can use your mouthwash but its no substitute to tooth brushing. It doesn't stop toothache or reduce significantly the risk of oral disease.
