This scene from desperate housewives helps to explain the inner battle and struggle of people before seeking for therapy and it takes an understanding and caring family members and friends to understand them.

It's scary to show up and talk about the hard stuff. It feels vulnerable. But once you commit and sit down, you realize it’s not a jail sentence but it's a path to freedom.

If you're currently trying to escape your problems, remember: You can run from everything except yourself.

Start talking, not running.

Your nervous system loves routine because it likes to know what’s coming next.
When your day is predictable, even in small ways, your body feels safe.

But when there’s chaos, constant surprises, or no structure, your body stays alert, watching out for danger. That’s exhausting and stressful.

Routine tells your brain:
“Nothing scary is happening. You can relax.”

So start creating your day around a routine and watch your mental health grow positively.

All that is needed is just one hard decision and the earlier that decision is made the easier it is for both parties to move on, swim and heal.

What's your opinion and perception of this story?

Are you the other man?
Are you the guy in the story?
Are you the girl in the story?

It's time to make that decision and stick to it!!

Your mental wellbeing is my priority.

For the next few days we’ll be talking about simple ways to release tension, whether it’s from past trauma, tiredness, or burnout.

Shoulder Hug: a gentle move that brings self-soothing and safety.

How to do it:

1. Cross your arms over your chest like you’re giving yourself a hug.

2. Place your hands on your shoulders.

3. Take slow breaths in and out, and gently squeeze your shoulders as you exhale.

4. Additionally: tap your upper arms alternately (left, right, left, right). This bilateral tapping helps calm the nervous system.

Do it for 30–60 seconds when you feel tense or unsafe. No pressure, no drama, just hold yourself the way you wish someone should've held you.

If this helped, save this post, share with someone who could use a small reset, and follow for more simple, trauma-informed ways to feel calmer.

What helped most? Is it the hug or the tapping? Drop a comment. 👇

This scene from the show "Ted Lasso" is so powerful and full of quite a number of lessons, this scene demonstrates trauma, anger and a part forward for mental well-being.

But one thing that stood out for me is Sam's father’s advice: "Anger will only weaken you, don't fight back, fight Forward"

And it's so true because trauma and injustice makes us want to react and fight back, but that keeps us stuck in the past.

To protect your mental health, you have to shift your focus from what is being done to you, especially when you have no control over it, to what you want for yourself.

Choose to "fight Forward". Channel your frustration not into revenge but into achieving the goals they wish or thought you'd fail to reach.

What are you able to pick from this scene? Let me know in the comments 👇

Unresolved trauma doesn’t always look like pain,
sometimes it looks like overworking, avoiding, or feeling “fine” all the time.

Overreacting to small things, is that part of you?

Well, it could just be your personality.

Trauma isn’t just about the painful event itself — it’s about how that experience affected you on the inside.

Two people can go through the same situation, but one might recover quickly while the other feels deeply wounded. That’s because trauma is more about the emotional impact than the actual event. It changes how you see yourself, others, and the world.

This month we would be sharing more insights about trauma that you're probably not aware of, do give us a follow so you don't miss out on it.
