I was AWOL!

I had pressed the backspace key for the umpteenth time and felt mentally tired.
Last week, each time I tried to make a post...nothing was forthcoming.

I was blank!
Even the posts I already had in mind to post the previous week didn't feel "good enough".
So I decided to take a step back, relax & unwind.

I'm back!💃💃💃Who missed me?

Which topics will you like me to post about? Do share in the comments. Thank you.

For the first time in years, I created a vision board for 2025 and set the intention to achieve all my goals. As we approach the end of Q1, I’ve been reflecting—saying a quick gratitude prayer for the ones I’ve achieved and taking an honest look at those I haven’t even started.

And you know what? I realized I’ve been self-sabotaging—making excuses about timing when, deep down, I know the right time is now. So, I’m done waiting. I’m taking the first step, imperfect or not. A line has been drawn.

I can already feel it... 2025 is a litty year!

How about you? Are you on track with your goals? If not, what’s one step you can take today? Let’s talk in the comments.

Women Supporting Women?

We say this a lot, but do we truly live it?

- When a woman becomes a boss, some of her fellow women are the first to question her competence or insinuate she didn't earn it.
- When a woman is harassed, some women are the first to ask, "What was she wearing?"
- When a mother struggles to juggle her responsibilities, other women are often the first to call her lazy.
- In healthcare, patients sometimes request male professionals because of the bias that a woman might not be competent enough.

The list is endless.

As we celebrate another International Women’s Day, let’s ask ourselves: How have we genuinely supported the women around us?

Let’s be intentional about uplifting each other, breaking biases, and truly standing together.

Dear women, don't shrink yourself to make others comfortable. Take up space. Speak up. Own your achievements. I see you, I celebrate you, and I’m rooting for you.

Happy International Women’s Day! 💜✨

My kids run around too much....

Most parents do not like their kids running around majorly because of the fear that they might injure themselves. However, in today’s digital age, it’s easy for kids to spend hours glued to screens, but regular physical activity is essential for their growth and overall well-being.

It is recommended that children aged 5–17 years should engage in at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity daily. This helps support healthy growth, cognitive development, and emotional well-being.

Benefits of Physical Activity for Children:

- Stronger Bones & Muscles: Physical activity promotes healthy bone development and muscle strength.

- Weight Management: Regular movement helps prevent childhood obesity and related health conditions.

- Better Mental Health: Exercise reduces stress, improves mood, and boosts self-esteem.

- Enhanced Learning & Concentration: Active children often perform better academically.

- Improved Social Skills: Group activities encourage teamwork and communication.

As parents, making physical activity a part of daily routines not only benefits your child’s health but also strengthens your bond and creates lasting memories.

Let’s raise active, healthy, and happy kids.

For weeks, I struggled with my phone’s bad screen—everything appeared in black and white, with dark patches around the edges. I knew I needed a new phone, but the one I truly wanted was out of my budget. At the same time, I was hesitant to even ask about repairing the screen, fearing it would cost too much while I had more pressing financial priorities.

But yesterday, I decided—no more excuses. I took my phone in for repair, and to my surprise, it wasn’t as expensive as I had imagined. Now, seeing vibrant colors again has completely lifted my mood. I didn't realize how much I was missing until I fixed it.

Sometimes, our assumptions hold us back more than reality. We overthink situations and create barriers in our minds that don’t even exist. But here’s the thing—until you take the first step, you won’t know what’s possible.

Are you currently managing or salvaging a situation instead of taking action toward what you truly want? Maybe it’s time to take that step.

Have you ever overthought a situation, only to find out it was easier than you imagined?

Spices series - (3)

The Best Ways to Store Spices for Maximum Freshness.

Spices can lose their flavor and potency over time if not stored properly. To keep them fresh and flavorful for longer, follow these simple storage tips:

1. Use Airtight Containers: Store spices in airtight glass or stainless steel containers to prevent exposure to air, moisture, and odors.

2. Keep Away from Heat and Light: Store spices in a cool, dark place, such as a pantry or drawer, away from direct sunlight and heat sources like stovetops.

3. Avoid Moisture Exposure: Keep spices away from humidity by storing them in dry areas and avoiding placing them near sinks or dishwashers.

4. Label and Date Your Spices: Always label jars with the purchase or expiration date to track freshness and avoid using stale spices.

5. Buy in Small Quantities: Purchase spices in small amounts to ensure you use them while they're still fresh and flavorful.

6. Consider Freezing Whole Spices: For long-term storage, whole spices like cinnamon sticks can be frozen to maintain their potency.

With proper storage, your spices will stay aromatic and enhance your meals for months to come!

We've come to the end of the spices series 1,2,3. Let me know in the comments which of the series did it for you.
