This is birth.
In all its authentic, messy, beautiful, mind-blowing, breath-stopping, deeply connective power.
It heartens me that more and more children begin their life this way; in loving arms, attached to their placenta, coated in their amniotic fluid, in a place familiar to them and ripe with the biome of their family.
Maybe we humans have a chance after all.
