Africa lost a good son and great Athletics coach today.
Harrison Momah, a former Nigerian national track and field coach retired Kwara state athletics coach completed his mission here on earth on March 1st, 2025.
My hearthfelt condolences to his wife and children.
Rest in eternal peace my dearest coach, mentor, friend and brother. I know you're getting your well-deserved accolades and garlands now.
Coach Harrison Momah was a "good man" of strong moral character. He lived an exemplary life full of integrity, kindness and empathy. He dedicated his life to making sure that young athletes willing to make the effort are encouraged to be the best version of themselves. Those of us fortunate enough to be around him learnt quickly that there are no shortcuts in life. He was a true believer in the Spartan philosophy of "He who sweats more in training, bleeds less in battle." He was right.
He drilled into us that lasting success is always a result of well thought-out plans, solid foundation / preparation, commitment to excellence, personal responsibility and accountability.
I am forever indebted to you. Everything you touched turned into gold. I was there. I am one.
Your smarts, dedication and perseverance is unmatched.
You neither sought limelight nor attention. Your commitment to doing the right things in the face of insurmountable difficulties is legendary.
Sir, you accomplished your mission!
You left your world better than you met it.
Hallelujah! You lived to see your kids/athletes become what you envisioned 50 years ago:
Productive members of their respective communities,

Political leaders,
Military officers,
