💋 WHY YOUR LIPS CRACK 🌿
Ever wondered why your lips suddenly become dry, painful, or start peeling? 😣💔
Cracked lips are very common, and most times it’s your body trying to tell you something.
✨ Common reasons your lips crack:
💧 Dehydration
Not drinking enough water is one of the biggest causes. When your body lacks water, your lips dry out first.
🌬️ Dry weather or harmattan wind
Hot or cold dry air removes moisture from your lips quickly, leaving them chapped.
👄 Licking your lips too often
It may feel like it helps, but saliva dries fast and makes lips even more cracked.
🍊 Vitamin deficiency (especially B vitamins)
Low vitamins can affect skin and lip health.
☀️ Sun exposure
Too much sun without protection can damage and dry out your lips.
💊 Certain medications or skin conditions
Some treatments or conditions can also cause dryness.
💡 Simple care tips: 💧 Drink more water daily
🧴 Use lip balm regularly
🚫 Avoid licking your lips
🌿 Apply natural moisturizers like shea butter
💬 Your lips need care just like your skin—don’t ignore them 💙

*🤰 IF YOU ARE PREGNANT, PLEASE READ THIS ⚠️💊*

Dear expectant mom, not every medication is safe during pregnancy. Always double-check before taking anything.

*Important Information About Doxycycline:*
1️⃣ *Dental Development* - Doxycycline can affect your baby’s developing teeth if taken during the second or third trimester. This may lead to permanent tooth discoloration.
2️⃣ *Bone Growth* - The medication may interfere with calcium deposits in your baby’s bones during development.
3️⃣ *Medical Guidance* - Doxycycline is classified as FDA Pregnancy Category D. Healthcare providers only prescribe it during pregnancy when no safer alternative is available for treating a serious infection.

*The Recommended Approach* ✅
Always consult your OB/GYN, midwife, or antenatal care provider before starting any medication. There are pregnancy-safe antibiotics available for most infections. Your doctor will determine what is safest for you and your baby.

💊 ACT: THE MALARIA MEDICINE MANY PEOPLE DEPEND ON
When malaria strikes, many people know the weakness, fever, chills and body pain it can bring.
That’s where ACT comes in.
ACT means Artemisinin-based Combination Therapy — a major treatment used against uncomplicated malaria.
It helps fight malaria parasites and has helped many people recover when used correctly.
💡 Why it matters: • Used for malaria treatment
• Works as a combination medicine
• Important in fighting drug resistance
• Has played a big role in malaria control
⚠️ But here’s what many get wrong: • Stopping treatment early can be risky
• Self-medicating every fever as “malaria” can be dangerous
• Wrong use may contribute to treatment failure
• Not every illness with fever is malaria
💡 Medicines work best when used properly.
Treat wisely. Test when possible. Protect your health.

🚨 THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST MISUSED DRUGS IN EVERY HOME… AND IT CAN BE DANGEROUS
Headache 🤕
Fever 🤒
Body pain 😣
Most people’s first choice is PARACETAMOL (PCM).
💊 It is known as a “simple pain and fever reliever”… but it is NOT as harmless as many think.
🧠 WHAT IT DOES: ✔ Reduces fever
✔ Relieves mild to moderate pain
✔ Commonly used in homes and hospitals
💡 That’s why it is found almost everywhere.
⚠️ BUT HERE IS THE PROBLEM: – Taking too much can DAMAGE THE LIVER
– Repeated overdose may not show early warning signs
– Mixing multiple drugs that also contain paracetamol can be risky
– It is not meant for long-term uncontrolled use
👉 Many people unknowingly overdose by combining “cold drugs + pain drugs” that both contain it
💡 SAFE REMINDER: ✔ Always read drug labels
✔ Follow correct dosage
✔ When pain or fever persists, don’t just keep repeating it—seek medical advice
A common medicine…
but a serious one when misused.

💊 LORATADINE — RELIEF FROM ALLERGY SYMPTOMS
Loratadine is a commonly used medicine that helps relieve allergy symptoms caused by the body’s reaction to harmless triggers like dust, pollen, or cold air.
It is used for: ✔️ Sneezing
✔️ Runny nose (catarrh)
✔️ Itchy or watery eyes
✔️ Skin itching or hives (rashes)
💡 It works by blocking histamine, a natural chemical in the body that causes allergic reactions.
Important notes: 🚫 It does NOT treat infections like cold or flu
🚫 It is not a cure, only helps control symptoms
🚫 Use only as directed by a healthcare professional
Loratadine is usually taken once daily, but correct dosage should always follow medical advice.
❤️ Proper use helps you stay comfortable and breathe easier during allergy episodes.
