Today, We stand with the global community to shine light on a silent but devastating group of diseases — Head and Neck Cancers.
While many have heard of , , or cancer, few realize they fall under the broader, often misunderstood umbrella of head and neck cancers (cancers that affect the mouth, throat, larynx, sinuses, and more). These cancers account for about 4.5% of all diagnoses worldwide, and yet, awareness remains dangerously low. They rob individuals of their speech, ability to eat, confidence, appearance, and quality of life. But caught early, they are treatable and even curable.
Watch out for the warning signs:
1️⃣ A sore throat that doesn’t heal
2️⃣ Difficulty chewing or swallowing
3️⃣ Persistent ear or facial pain
4️⃣ Changes in your voice
5️⃣ Lumps or swelling in the neck or jaw
Some Risk factors include:

🍷 Excessive alcohol consumption
🦠 HPV (Human Papillomavirus) infection
☀ Prolonged sun exposure (for lip cancers)
Prevention is possible. Early detection saves lives.
That’s why today we’re calling on everyone, health professionals, policymakers, advocates, and everyday people, to take action.
At Bloom Public Health, we advocate for: Increased public awareness, Accessible screening and services, Vaccination against HPV, Support for patients, caregivers, and survivors, More research, more funding, and better outcomes
