YOU AND YOUR DOCTOR💉💊
One of the major downsides of traditional medicines is lack of dosaging. For example, a herbalist could just load you with one Eva water container of agbo every morning to treat typhoid until they load your kidney to glory!
As you know, any thing you take in through your mouth will either be digested in the gut environment and either be processed by the liver or kidney but unfortunately this organs have threshold of processing power. If you insult them with too much workload, they can be injured. That underlines the beauty of prescription and drug development procedure for orthodox medicines.
To give you a brief idea, drug development starts with a Preclinical Safety and Toxicity testing. Mark the phrase “toxicity testing”. This phase is carried out in animals to obtain the lethal dose of a drug (the smallest amount that can kill an animal) and minimum effective dose (the smallest amount that can produce the desired effect)..
Tell yourself the truth, did your agbo undergo any of this ?
If you drink too much water at a time, you can die of water poisoning due to hyperdilution of your blood and electrolyte imbalance.
In 2025, make it a goal to control what goes into your mouth, how much of it, and the timing of it. Eating fufu by 10pm doesn’t seem like a wise decision to me. There are sicknesses that you can control 100% just by changing your diet. For example, lifestyle modification and DASH diet alone can reduce your BP by 15mmhg.
Limiting the consumption of red oil, red meat, and other sources of low density lipoprotein can effectively control your blood cholesterol if you are battling cholesterol problems which can predispose you to heart problems and sudden death. [Pls note some persons may need both food modification and statin drugs to control cholesterol.]
If you keep eating poison, you’ll keep your organs working under strain to detoxify you, and gradually you’d be digging your grave with your teeth.
Having said that, life is not straightforward. You can keep all the rules and still die early. A lot of people have underlying sicknesses and other risk factors that must be properly accounted for to determine real cause of death. Sadly , real cause of death is under investigated and under reported in Africa where superstition reigns supreme.
