Lumbar spine MRI in a 64 year old female with back pain radiating to the back of the thighs, difficulty walking and walking bent forward. There is pressure on the nerves and this is called spinal compression. The operation required is called a spinal decompression. Simple. Take pressure off the nerves to stop the pain.

A far lateral disc bulge. Patient complaining of mild back pain, bending to the right and left leg pain. There is numbness in L4 distribution. The disc is at L4L5 but catching the L4 nerve. Always an interesting challenge.

If it's not broken, don't fix it.... This 80 year old female is complaining of back pain. Mild. Not interfering with life or social functions. Though MRI scan show degenerative changes, we advised conservative management. No surgery. No problem.

Patient has neck pain and difficulty walking due to pressure on the spinal cord.. She underwent surgery with decompression and fixation. The device we used is the zero P cage that has anchoring screws. The arrow is pointing to the cage. She did well.
