“Love letter to Unique Physiotherapy “.
Disclaimer:This is not a love letter,this was hand written by one of our patients and given to us and it encompasses all the patient has being through and the journey so far .
Things like this makes us happy and keeps us going further.It was written:
This is a synopsis of my journey so far since I started my Physiotherapy regime with Unique Physiotherapy Clinic.
At the beginning of my treatment, I could hardly move my lower limbs and arms. Had to be carried and put on a wheelchair and wheeled into the clinic.
I began with mat exercises before being moved to the gym where I started by learning how to stand with the use of backslab and assistance from the Physiotherapists. The first equipment I started working with was the bicycle. After a while, I progressed to the Treadmill and then graduated to Elliptical machine.
My walking re-education started with learning how to walk with the backslab on both lower limbs using the zimmer frame with some assistance from the Physiotherapist. I progressed to using quadripod and now finally walking with the aid of a walking stick. I am currently practicing on how to walk unaided as well as improving my balance.
I am writing this to show how much progress I have made since I started my Physiotherapy with Unique Physiotherapy Clinic. At the beginning, I could hardly open my hands talkless of holding a pen. As you can see, even though my writing is far from where it was before my condition i.e. Gullain Barre Syndrome (GBS), I have made a remarkable progress.
I will like to seize this opportunity to express my profound gratitude to Dr. Chidi and all the Physiotherapists and Staffs of the Clinic for making my journey so far a very rewarding experience and for handling my case with outmost professionalism and providing a conducive atmosphere for my recovery. A friendly atmosphere that is quite welcoming to the extent I look forward to the sessions daily.
Keep up the good work and may the Almighty continue to reward all those that have made the journey so far an unforgettable one. Words can never express my gratitude.
