Cholesterol is considered to be the biggest enemy of the heart. Heart disease cases have increased rapidly in the last few years. According to the World Health Organization, heart disease is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Let us tell you that high cholesterol is the main cause of most of your heart diseases. Let us know what is high cholesterol? What are the symptoms of high or low cholesterol? How much cholesterol should there be? etc.

What is high cholesterol?

Cholesterol is a fat-like substance produced by the liver, which is necessary for digestion, vitamin D, formation of cell membranes and some hormones. Cholesterol is not soluble, so it cannot reach other organs on its own. For this, particles called lipoproteins are needed which help in transporting cholesterol to other organs through blood. There are two types of lipoproteins:-

➡️Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL)

Low-density lipoprotein is also known as bad cholesterol. It can accumulate in the arteries and cause many health problems, such as stroke, heart attack, etc.

➡️ High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL)

High density lipoprotein is also called good cholesterol. It helps in returning cholesterol back to the liver so that cholesterol can be removed. Next we will know how much HDL cholesterol should be and how much LDL cholesterol should be.
What are the symptoms of High cholesterol?

Although there are no symptoms of increased cholesterol, it is a risk factor for other diseases. Still, some changes in the physical condition can indicate increased cholesterol. Let us know what are the symptoms and remedies for increased cholesterol:-

➡️Weight gain

Continuous increase in your weight is a symptom of high cholesterol. That is, when your body weight is normal and suddenly obesity increases, then the risk of high cholesterol is high. When cholesterol increases, the doctor first asks you to lose weight and take precautions regarding food habits.

➡️Persistent pain in legs

World Lung Cancer Day 2024: Lung cancer is the deadliest cancer among all cancers. And lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide. Lung cancer is a type of cancer. It starts with the abnormal growth of cells in the lungs. When these cells grow out of control, lung function is affected, and in severe cases, the cells can divide and spread to other organs

The lung is a sponge like organ in our chest area. It controls breathing. Although this type of lung cancer is caused by various causes, the primary and most important cause is smoking. People with this smoking habit have a high risk of developing lung cancer. Not only that, even non-smokers are at risk of developing this deadly cancer.

World Lung Cancer Day is observed on 01 August every year. This day is celebrated to raise awareness about lung cancer. Early detection and treatment of this lung cancer can prevent life-threatening complications and prolong life. Here are the early symptoms of lung cancer.
