Today is World Ovarian Cancer Day – May 8
The one day each year when the world unites to raise its voice in solidarity and shine a light on one of the most underdiagnosed and deadly gynecological cancers — Ovarian Cancer.

🧠 Why does this matter?
Because ovarian cancer is known as the “silent killer”.
Its symptoms are subtle. Its signs are often mistaken for less serious conditions. And many women are diagnosed too late.

🔍 Know the Symptoms:
– Persistent bloating
– Pelvic or abdominal pain
– Difficulty eating or feeling full quickly
– Frequent urination

These symptoms may seem common, but if they persist, they must not be ignored.

🩺 Why is screening important?
There’s currently no reliable routine screening test for ovarian cancer. That’s why paying attention to your body and getting regular check-ups is critical — especially if you have a family history or are over the age of 40.
