Simbo & Arin are 2 sisters who, a couple of years ago, got interested in Agriculture when they were considering career changes and that led to them acquiring some farmlands. Simbo trained as a Medical doctor and transitioned from being a Clinician to being a Medical Administrator and now an Urban Farmer. Arin studied International Studies & Diplomacy, worked in the manufacturing industry and in Human Resources before becoming a banker. She resigned after nearly 6 years, from the banking sector, and chose to be an entrepreneur. Simbo & Arin are both alumni of the London School of Business & Finance (LSBF). We became concerned about the foods we were eating especially after seeing videos on the Internet that really got us scared. This concerns grew when Arin had a baby in 2016; we wanted him to grow up on chemical-free (organic) foods as much as possible. In our garden, we had planted some vegetables and herbs which did very well. Then we heard about sack-farming and decided to get 100 sacks to plant yams, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, okra, beans, cucumbers, butternut squash & broccoli. We met our mentor, Mallam S. last year and he showed us how we could transition from home gardening to Urban farming. At SimiUrbanFarms:
We teach you how to grow your own food regardless of where you live. We teach you how to grow your own organic crops and eliminate the toxins in your food
We provide a platform to share our successes and failures so we can all succeed
Follow us, and you will become a successful urban farmer!
