Soon Lagos copers won’t have need to camp in other states due to the new camp construction to accommodate about 10,000 CORPERS.

This will reduce stress faced by those posted to Lagos but have to camp in another nearby state.

*REASON WHY YOU CAN BE SENT OUT OF CAMP*

1. IRREGULAR DATE OF GRADUATION: when Your date of graduation are not same on all your statement/ certificate you are going to be sent out of camp.

2. FAKE CERTIFICATE: If you take fake documents to camp, you will be suspended and sent out of camp.

3. NAME SPELLING ERRORS: If the name om your documents are not correctly spelt, you will be sent back to your school to correct it.

4. DIFFERENT COURSE OF STUDY IN ND AND HND: this is for the Polytechnic students, if the course you have on your ND and HND does not tally, you will be sent back home.

5. S*X IN CAMP: if you are caught in the act, you will be suspended and sent out of camp.

6. BIOMETRIC ERROR: If your thumb print is not well captured during online registration

As a PCM, you have to be very cautious of all this important information to avoid issues.

Batch B Stream II participants, please mark your calendars! Our 2025 Orientation Camp is set to commence on Sept. 24, 2025.

We encourage all prospective corps members to gear up for an intensive schedule filled with activities and opportunities for personal growth.

*NOTE*

If you want to be your plantoon leader go to camp early.

If you want to be the overall platoon commander or part of quarter guard for swearing in, also go to camp early.

If you want to join any of the camp groups go early.

If you plan to be lazy on camp pls go late.

If you don’t want to stress yourself in camp go late.

If you want to disgrace yourself in camp, buy red under wear.

If you want to disgrace your generation then go to camp and get caught having s*x.

If you plan to tarnish your image in camp get drunk in mammy market and start a fight.

*Good morning all*

CALL UP LETTER IS OUT. Take note of your orientation camp.

TAKE NOTE.

🗣️You must not go to camp on the first day of Camp opening but ensure to be in camp on or before swearing in ( Friday )

🗣️Don forget your body spray/ Roll on. Pls you are going to camp to exercise and sweat so always have it on.

🗣️Don’t go to camp with red underwear ( it’s transparent under white )

🗣️If you are a musician take your song to camp and entertain your fellow corps members (if you play any instrument also take it along)

🗣️Ensure u have corrected Date of graduation issue b4 approaching registration stand ( else home sweet home)

🗣️NIN is not relevant in camp. Its use ended after online registration.

🗣️Make sure you have your medical fitness with you and is not upto 3 months old. (DM for your report if you don’t want to stay in camp after registration)

🗣️Join one of the groups in camp and save your self parade stress.

🗣️Always have your waist bag on when ever you are outside. ( putting your phone there is more safer than your pocket )

🗣️On your way to camp dress in your normal m***i, don’t wear white and white.

Orientation camp can be fun or boring. All this lies in the hands of the CORPERS.

❌ ❌ *NYSC LIST OF IRRELEVANT CAMP ITEMS*❌❌

NB: All medical fitness requested has been submitted….. check your DM and act accordingly.

DM for your medical report if you want to leave camp after registration.

Below are the list of things you should not take to camp

📋1. Mattress: This might sound strange but some PCMs bring this. The NYSC management provides mattresses to every PCM. Bringing your own mattress could amount to excess luggage, and thereby, make security operatives to seize it.

📋2. Cutlery (NOT ALL TYPES): Things like Knives, fork, tin-cutter, pliers are seized because it is believed that PCMs might use them for negative things. Spoons are allowed, but don't go with more than one metal spoon.

📋3. Sophisticated electronic devices: Things like Extensions, big tablets, laptops, palm top, etc are not allowed in camp. But, if you managed sneak in with any of devices, just bare in mind you brought it for Camp thieves to take. Security normaly seize them at the gate check point and tag them with a number so after camp you can easily collect them back while leaving. But trust me, 80% PCMs forget to collect their items back.

📋4.Too much luggages: Not everything you should come to camp with. All the things you may need are being sold in Mammy market, although it's more expensive there but you will save yourself the stress for things like: bucket, foodflas, spoons, plates, white shoe, shots, white polos, waist bag, detergent, soap, beverage,, bed-sheet, pilows etc. In order not to overload yourself, come with the little you have and buy the rest from camp market if you have the money.

📋5. Electrical Appliances: Corps Members are not allowed to enter camp or use thing like pressing Iron, Stove, boiler, clipper etc in the Camp. If found with any of them, it would be seized.

P/S: Dont forget your blue jeans for the carnival including your Medical Fitness Certificate as you will not be allowed in camp without that.

📋6. Too many Muftis: As fun as camp would be and you would like to make shakara small, sorry to burst your bubble but you will be wearing white on white or Khaki through out the days of your stay. The only time you will be allowed to put on mufty are sundays when going for your various Religious activities and the Carnival. So a pair of m***i or 2 pairs is ok for that. You are also allowed to wear mufty inside your room in the hostel but i can assure you there is no time to stay in the hostel because you will always be engaged with one activity or the other.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

The 2025 Batch B stream Two Orientation Course has been scheduled to commence on Wednesday, 24th September, 2025 in all
NYSC Orientation Camps across the country.

Camp Registration for all Corps Members would hold between Wednesday 24th and Friday 26th September, 2025.

The Swearing- in Ceremony holds on Friday 26th September, while the Closing Ceremony will take place on Tuesday 14th October, 2025.

The Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu wishes all Prospective Corps Members safety of travel to their respective Orientation Camps.

He also advised them not to embark on night journeys while travelling to their Orientation Camps.

Prepare for camp and get everything ready.

Foreign trained how was the physical verification today? If you haven’t gone pls do so b4 Wednesday.

If you are waiting for your call up number don’t worry NYSC knows what they are doing.

New call up numbers will be released after physical verification to complete the needed number so exercise patient.

*14 FAQs ABOUT BANK ACCOUNT OPENING IN THE NYSC ORIENTATION CAMP*

*1). QUESTION:* Is it compulsory to open a new bank account in NYSC camp?
*ANSWER:* Yes it is compulsory to open a new bank account when you're in camp.

*2). QUESTION:* I have a bank account before, do I still need to open another new bank account at the Orientation Camp?
*ANSWER:* Yes, it is compulsory. Every corp Members is obligated to open a new bank account during camp registration.

*3). QUESTION:* What type of account is it, is it different from the normal day to day bank account?
*ANSWER:* It is the usual "savings account", and not different from the normal day to day "savings" bank account.

*4). QUESTION:* Where are we to go in order to open the NYSC bank account, are we allowed to go to places outside the Orientation Camp to open it?
*ANSWER:* No, you won't be allowed to go outside the camp gate. Staff from different banks will be available in camp to help you facilitate the process.

*5). QUESTION:* Is it possible to open the new account before going to camp?
*ANSWER:* No it is not possible. Opening NYSC allowance account is one among the stages you undergo during camp registration. NYSC must clear you before you will open the account. In fact, it's your camp clearance documents you would use to open the account.

*6). QUESTION:* You said different banks' agents would be available in camp to help us open the account, which of the banks should I go for?
*ANSWER:* NYSC will allocate banks according to your state code. So go to the bank you've been assigned to.

*7). QUESTION:* Must the name I used for BVN match with the one I am using for NYSC?
*ANSWER* : Yes, name match is very important. Should in case you have issues with your BVN, I would suggest you go for your existing bank account in order to avoid further problems. You must have your BVN ready. ( note if you have issue with your BVN it can be rectified outside after camp)

*8). QUESTION:* What are the documents required for opening NYSC allowance account?
*ANSWER:* The documents which will be required of you are: Your Passport photograph, BVN and NYSC clearance paper which you will get after you have completed the necessary camp registrations. Your full name would be written bold altogether in all your documents. So, if the names in your documents do not match with the one you have on BVN, it becomes an enormous problem.

*9). QUESTION:* What if I do not have bank account or BVN?
*ANSWER:* You should go and get one now; if you are really serious about NYSC. Because having NO BVN is an automatic disqualification.

*10). QUESTION:* Then what should I do if the name on my BVN doesn't match with the one in my Documents?
*ANSWER:* Then quickly go to the bank that registered your BVN, ask them to update or change your BVN name so that it can match with the one on your NYSC documents. Do this before you attend the orientation camp.

*11). QUESTION:* What if I don't need NYSC allowance, is it compulsory to receive it?
*ANSWER:* Yes, NYSC allowance is compulsory to receive. If you didn't receive it, you probably may not pass out of the programme. Receiving NYSC allowance is a prove that you are serving; To receive it involve lot of clearance which prove you're indeed serving. If for any reason you don't need the cash, collect it and give it to someone who is in serious need. You should have friends who need financial assistance.

*12). QUESTION:* Can I use my NYSC account to receive money from family and friends?
*ANSWER:* Yes, you can even use it to do business transactions or international transaction.

*13). QUESTION:* What if the Federal Government mistakenly pay me double allowance?
*ANSWER:* Better return it to the NYSC state secretariat, during your final clearance they will request for Bank statement of account from day one. The rationale behind it is to catch those that are being paid double.

*14). QUESTION:* What will happen to my NYSC allowance account after my one year service?
*ANSWER:* NYSC will stop paying your monthly allowance. But you will continue using the account for other transactions.

📝 *CONCLUSION*
some people May still not be able to access their alawee funds even after bank registration at Camp... Don't worry if this happens. Just visit your Bank once you're out of camp to rectify. Some Banks requires you to visit Their branch and further supply some documents in addition to the ones supplied in camp Bank opening before your account becomes fully functional.

I'm confident that These responses have addressed the majority of the questions you had with regards to CAMP BANK ACCOUNT OPENING issue.

The registration portal is officially open, It will only be open for 6 days 8th to 13th of September and the .

Let that duration not deceive you. Once the needed number is reached the portal will close. If the portal last till that period then know that next camp there might not be any online so ensure you register now even if u plan to go next year. I will be there
