Rural Health Mission Nigeria recently participated in the Africa ARISE Summit 2025, held on September 6, 2025, in Abuja. Our Program Manager, Mr. Muhammad Adam represented us at the summit, showcasing our organization's areas of focus and core values.

Our Focus Areas:

- Primary Healthcare Strengthening: We work to ensure widespread access to quality healthcare services, particularly in rural areas.

Empowering Primary Health Care in Sardauna LGA
In a significant step to enhance healthcare delivery in rural Nigeria, the Rural Health Mission Nigeria embarked on a project to strengthen the primary health care system in Sardauna Local Government Area (LGA) of Taraba State. The initiative focused on empowering facility staff with critical knowledge and tools to improve maternal and newborn health outcomes.

Through this effort, primary health care staff across 11 wards of Sardauna LGA were equipped with enhanced knowledge and skills. This empowerment aimed to boost their capacity to provide quality healthcare services, particularly in maternal and child health.

A key component of the initiative was the distribution of 1000 birth kits to facilities across these 11 wards. These birth kits are vital for ensuring that healthcare providers have the necessary supplies to conduct safe deliveries and manage postpartum care effectively.

The empowerment of primary health care staff with knowledge and the provision of essential supplies like birth kits are crucial steps toward improving healthcare outcomes in rural communities, reflects the impact of the initiative.

By strengthening the primary health care system in Sardauna LGA, Rural Health Mission Nigeria has taken a meaningful stride toward enhancing healthcare accessibility and quality for mothers and newborns in this part of Taraba State.

💙🚑 Lifesaving Intervention in Action!

We are proud to share the progress of the Lifesaving Intervention Project, supported by Kitchen Table Charities Trust, currently being implemented in Sardauna LGA, Taraba State, Nigeria. 🌍✨

✅ 35 primary healthcare workers trained in basic lifesaving skills
✅ 1,000 clean birth kits distributed across 30 health facilities

This project is transforming maternal and child health by equipping frontline health workers with essential skills and tools to save lives—ensuring safer pregnancies, safer deliveries, and healthier communities. 👩‍⚕️👶

Together, we are making healthcare accessible, reliable, and lifesaving for the most vulnerable. 🙌

We are excited to announce the successful completion of a 3-day LifeCare Connect Training in Gembu, Sardauna LGA. 🎉

Over 45 health workers participated and were equipped with digital health skills, lifesaving techniques, and hands-on training on how to effectively use the LifeCare Connect App to deliver quality care in remote communities.

This intensive training ensures frontline health workers are better prepared to save lives, bridge healthcare gaps, and bring hope to underserved populations. 💙💡
