SEED CYCLING TO REGULATE HORMONAL IMBALANCES.

Seed cycling uses natural seeds flax, pumpkin, sunflower and sesame to balance your menstrual cycle and increase your chances of fertility using the phases of the moon as a guide.

Seeds taken from our nature’s harvest can bring back equilibrium to the body.

Your body comes into contact with different forms of toxins each day. Whether it is in the environment or the most common place, your food.

What Is Seed Cycling?

Seed cycling is a natural approach to balancing your progesterone and estrogen in the body and often recommended by naturopathic doctors to restore your body’s health.

Using seeds is not a quick fix solution, but a natural one that allows your body to heal on its own time.

Using flax seed, pumpkin seed, sesame seed and sunflower seed in your diet at different times will help balance your hormones.

How It Works

A woman’s body follows the cycle of the moon and goes through two phases: follicular phase and the luteal phase.

“During the follicular phase, an egg follicle on an o***y gets ready to release an egg.” It continues with the luteal phase that starts on ovulation day.

During the follicular phase, days one through 14, you’d be taking seeds for estrogen, flax and pumpkin seeds.

Flax seeds are high in lignans, and pumpkin seeds are high in zinc, necessary for the creation of progesterone. Days 15 to 28, also known as the second half of the cycle,

Sunflower seeds and sesame seeds are the big kahunas for progesterone this round.

Seed Amount

The seeds should be organic and raw and whole if possible. One tablespoon of each freshly ground seed is all that is needed each day.

It is essential that the seeds are ground, not whole. Whole seeds won’t absorb their nutrients; instead, they will pass through your body.

You can add them to your smoothie, over your salad, in a sauce, or include them in delicious treats.

How Long does it Take?

As previously mentioned, this process is more of a “slow and steady wins the race” approach to healing your body.

For some, you may see changes within the first month. For others, it may take three to four months. It just depends on your body.

Unless you’ve been through IVF, it’s hard to fully grasp the emotional rollercoaster of the two-week wait.

What Are Pelvic Adhesions?

Pelvic adhesions are bands of scar tissue that can form between organs in the pelvis (e.g., uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, intestines). They may be caused by:

- Previous infections (e.g., PID)

- Endometriosis

- Past surgeries (e.g., C-section, appendectomy)

- Past ectopic pregnancy or burst cysts

They can block your fallopian tubes or make it hard for the egg and s***m to meet, hence affecting fertility.

🌿 Must You Go for Surgery?

Not always. It depends on:

1. The extent and location of the adhesions.

2. Your symptoms — if you're having pain, irregular periods, or infertility.

3. How long you’ve been trying to conceive.

When Is Surgery Advised?

Surgery is advised

- If your HSG shows blocked tubes and you're TTC.

- If you're in chronic pain.

- If the adhesions are severe and preventing pregnancy.

This surgery is often called a laparoscopy, which is minimally invasive and can both diagnose and treat adhesions.

🌿 Are There Other (Non-Surgical) Remedies?

Yes, there are natural and supportive therapies, especially when the adhesions are mild to moderate. These may not remove the scars completely but can reduce inflammation, pain, and support healing:

1. Castor Oil Packs (Over lower abdomen)

Castor oil breaks down old tissue and supports lymphatic drainage.

Do 3–4 times a week (except during menstruation or ovulation if you're TTC).

2. Red light therapy, Abdominal or Fertility Massage

These help break up adhesions and improve blood flow.

Red light therapy helps reduce inflammation and soften adhesions,

- Supports hormonal balance naturally

- Relieves pain and menstrual cramps

- Helps your body regenerate and repair from the inside out.

3. Anti-inflammatory Diet

- Eat foods rich in antioxidants: dark leafy greens, turmeric, ginger, berries, aloe vera, honey.

- Avoid sugar, refined carbs, dairy, and processed oils—they fuel inflammation.

4. Supplements

- Supplements like Nattokinase or Serrapeptase: These are enzymes known to help break down scar tissue internally (take on an empty stomach).

- Vitamin E and Omega-3 fatty acids: Help with tissue repair and reduce inflammation.

5. Herbal Support (Best under guidance)

- Turmeric with pinch of black pepper to help turmeric absolve the curcumin. Use as tea and drink every morning.

- D**g Quai, Ginger, and Frankincense (for circulation and healing)

- Aloe Vera juice for soothing. Aloe vera is an anti-inflammatory that calms and reduces inflammation.

It is important to note that;

- Natural methods take time (minimum 3 months).

- If your fallopian tubes are completely blocked or the adhesion is severe, natural methods alone may not be enough.

- You can do some of these therapies before or after surgery to improve results and prevent new adhesion.

What is required:

1. Ask your doctor how severe the adhesions are.

2. If severe and you're actively TTC, consider laparoscopy.

3. If mild/moderate, and you're not in pain, you can try 3–6 months of natural therapy and reassess.

The Power of Affirmation!

One of the greatest tools for success in every area of life is affirmation.

We especially emphasize it for women trying to conceive, because fear and doubt can easily creep in after repeated disappointments. And sadly, those feelings can become a major setback in the fertility journey.

But when we start speaking life into our situation — choosing faith over fear, hope over doubt — something begins to shift inside us.

I say this from personal experience. I’ve faced moments where everything looked hopeless, but I refused to allow negativity to settle in my heart. I kept declaring it would work out — and it did.

NATURAL DETOXIFICATION

1. Lemons

Lemons are the go-to fruit for those looking to detox. Full of the vitamin C, this antioxidant is great for fighting free-radicals which can have a negative impact on the body. Additionally, lemons have an alkaline effect, helping restore the body's pH balance, thus improving the immune system. A slice of lemon in hot water is a simple way to start your detox.

2. Ginger

Ginger is great if you’ve been overdoing it on junk food or booze. Aside from settling your stomach, ginger can aid digestion, and reduce bloating and gas. It is also contains a large number of antioxidants and provides a good boost to immunity. Try a ginger tea or grate some ginger in fruit juice or vegetable juice, especially if you are struggling with a hangover.

3. Garlic

Garlic, despite its strong sometimes off-putting odour, is great for a detox. Having antiviral, antibacterial and antibiotic properties, garlic also contains allicin which aids white blood cell production which can help protect the body against infections. For maximum benefit, garlic is best consumed raw, so try adding crushed garlic to a dressing for a salad.

4. Artichoke

Another food great for you if you’ve been overindulging is artichokes. They are full of antioxidants plus fibre and can help with the digestion of fatty foods as well as stimulating liver function. A good way of consuming artichokes and kick-starting the body’s detox is to add some steamed artichoke leaves to your meals with something like chicken, fish or seafood.

5. Beetroot

Beetroot massively supports liver detoxification, making it an great detox food. It is also provides a great shot of nutrients in one hit as it is full of magnesium, iron, and vitamin C. Also, great for skin, hair, cholesterol levels, and even athletic performance levels, it is no surprise it is referred to as a superfood. To enjoy the benefits of beetroot add some to a salads or drink some beetroot juice.

6. Green Tea

While not strictly a food, green tea contains active ingredients which help support detox and provide additional health benefits. Green tea is packed with antioxidants and can help rid the body of toxins. It has been found to boost the performance of the liver and can protect the liver from diseases. To get the max from green tea drinking, brew it from loose leaves, as this will allow more antioxidants to be released.

7. Cabbage

Cabbage is a great detox food. Like many cruciferous vegetables, such as broccoli and cauliflower, kale, cabbage contains sulforaphane, a chemical which aids the body in the fight against toxins. Cabbage also contains glutathione; an antioxidant that helps promote the live function. An alternative way of including cabbage in your diet, if you are not particularly keen on having it on your plate, is to consume it in liquid form, either as cabbage water or a fermented cabbage juice.

8. Fresh Fruit

Fresh fruits are fibre rich and can play a key role in a detox diet. Packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants they can help improve digestion as well as your appearance (including skin and hair). Include in your diet a wide variety of fruit, but especially some of the acid fruits such as grapefruit, pineapples, oranges, and even tomatoes as these are all especially detoxifying. It is easy to include fruit in your diet; you could start your day with fruit smoothie and then snack on fruit when hunger strikes throughout your day.

Good morning fruitful mothers 🥰

Many of us do not know about the lemon water for detoxification and increasing our chances of conceiving.

This is a simple yet effective way to get the body rid of toxins, improve ovulation and your chances of conceiving.

What you need:
A half lemon 🍋
A cup of warm water 🌊

How to do it:
In your cup of warm water, squeeze in your lemon juice then allow to infuse for few minutes. You can also put the lemon flesh after squeezing the juice in your cup of water.
Now, your lemon water is ready.

When to take:
First thing in the morning before any meal.

Can I do it with my husband?
Yes you can. Lemon water also improves s***m quality and prevent it from oxidative damage.
