When Mama Nkechi’s best worker called in sick again, she had a decision to make: close shop for the day or help her staff get well fast and keep the business moving.
A neighbour told Mama Nkechi about Dsick bay - a private digital clinic just for staff. She signed up. Within minutes Seyi was on his phone, chatting with a doctor. The doctor asked simple questions, checked his symptoms, and sent clear advice. Seyi got a quick diagnosis, a treatment plan, and a follow-up message to check how he was doing the next day.
Before long, Seyi was back at the stall, feeling much better. Mama Nkechi didn’t have to close; customers kept coming; the food smelled the same as always. She smiled because the little help kept her business running.

Give your team the same peace of mind Mama Nkechi found — keep your business moving and your staff healthy.

What are varicose veins?
Varicose veins are swollen, twisted veins under the skin. They often appear on the legs. They are common and not usually dangerous.

Why do they happen?
Tiny valves inside the vein keep blood moving. If the valves don’t work well, blood pools and the vein swells.

You are more likely to get varicose veins if you:
are a woman
are older
are overweight
are pregnant
stand or sit for long hours
have family members with varicose veins
had deep vein blood clots (DVT)

See a doctor if you have varicose veins and you feel:
pain, itching or swelling in your legs
a sore on your leg that won’t heal after 2 weeks

Quick tips:
Move and walk often.
Try not to stand or sit for too long.
Keep a healthy weight.

When bottle-feeding with expressed breast milk or infant formula, keep the bottle slightly tipped.
This helps the milk flow steadily and prevents your baby from swallowing air.

If the teat goes flat while feeding, gently pull on the corner of your baby’s mouth to release the suction.

Little adjustments can make a big difference in reducing post-feeding discomfort and gas.

You may have a fungal nail infection if a toenail is breaks easily, is thick or discoloured.
These infections are not usually dangerous, but they can be embarrassing and may take a long time to treat (often 6–12 months of topical medicine).

To avoid fungal infection risk at salons🦶✂️:
• Ask the salon about their sterilisation practices.
• Bring your own clean nail clippers or tools.
• Don’t let technicians use the same tools on many clients without proper sterilisation.

If your nail hurts or the look bothers you, see a doctor.

It’s common for babies to look a bit yellow in their first few days of life. This is called jaundice.

This happens because:
🩸 Babies have a lot of red blood cells that break down quickly.
🍃 Their little liver is still learning to remove a yellow substance called bilirubin.
⏳ Most times, it clears up on its own by 2 weeks without harm.

⚠️ But if the yellow color appears within 24 hours of birth or seems to be getting worse, it’s important to see a doctor right away.

💡Your baby’s color tells a story. Stay alert, act early, and let your doctor guide you. 👶💛

Conjunctivitis (pink eye) can be caused by germs, viruses, allergies, and sometimes by sexually transmitted infections.
When an STI is the cause, symptoms may last longer and need specific treatment.

Watch for:
• Red, itchy or gritty eyes
• Sticky yellow pus on the lashes
• Tearing or a burning feeling

What to do:
• Don’t touch or rub your eyes.
• Avoid sharing towels or pillows.
• See a Doctor.
• If you’re sexually active, also ask about STI testing.

👂 Earwax usually clears out on its own, but if it builds up, you can help it along safely.

Symptoms of earwax build-up include:
1. hearing loss
2. earache or a feeling that your ears are blocked
3. ringing or buzzing in your ears
4. feeling dizzy (vertigo)

Try this:
✅ Lie on your side with the blocked ear facing up
✅ Add 2–3 drops of olive or almond oil or baby oil
✅ Stay that way for 5–10 minutes
✅ Repeat 3–4 times daily for a few days

In about 2 weeks, the wax should come out naturally.

🚫 Don’t use cotton buds or finger — they push the wax in deeper!
If symptoms like pain, dizziness, or ringing persist, see or doctor.
