📋What is a birth plan?
🤰A birth plan is a written document that outlines your preferences, wishes, and expectations for labour, delivery, and immediate postpartum care. It helps you communicate clearly with your healthcare team about how you’d like your childbirth experience to go — while understanding that flexibility is key, as things can change quickly during labour.
🤰A birth plan is usually written by the pregnant woman, often with support from her partner, midwife, nurse, or doctor. It is her personal plan, reflecting her preferences and values for labour, delivery, and postpartum care.

🩺fter writing it, always review and discuss it with your midwife or doctor to ensure clarity and feasibility within the chosen birth setting.
