The Global Threat OF Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)

AMR is the biggest global health security challenge. Antibiotics which are the cornerstone of many miracles of modern day medicine are beginning to loss effectiveness and this would mean reverting to the pre-antibiotics era where infections might become untreatable. By 2050, according to a UK AMR review done in 2016, it is estimated that AMR would take the lives of more than 10 million people annually, surpassing cancer as a cause of death.
