PALCare Nigeria

PALCare Nigeria WE ARE: Public Health Specialists committed to providing techniques for addressing family, women and children's health issues in low-income communities.

PALCare Nigeria (Providing Accessible & Lasting Healthcare Initiative) is a non-governmental organisation founded in 2016 committed to providing techniques for addressing family, women and children's health issues in vulnerable & low-income communities. WE DO: Our job is to provide health services to women, children and families, to help reduce harmful factors and improve conditions in the interests of helping them live a healthy lifestyle. We evaluate the needs of communities and neighborhoods and to develop and implement plans of action with various programs to meet the needs of the individuals living in the community. We also provide assistance on Integrated Community Case Management, diarrheal disease control, and the smart integration of these program components with other health programs such as those addressing HIV and AIDS, including consideration of the prevention of maternal transmission of HIV/AIDS to their newborn infants. The woman who sells pepper soup at my junction? She’s been living with HIV for 12 years. She still gives us extra fish when we’re short on cash, still glowing. My secondary school senior everyone admired? Tested positive the year he entered university. Today he’s a lecturer, married, just welcomed a baby, viral load undetectable. Chioma, my neighbour’s daughter, born with HIV? She just aced her exams and wants to study Nursing. She’s healthier than most of us. These aren’t statistics.

They’re our people. 40.8 million living with HIV worldwide many right here in Nigeria, on your street, in your family. HIV doesn’t kill like it used to. Treatment works. Hope is real. What still kills? Silence. Stigma. Side-eye.

So today, let’s do better by getting tested.

🦟 They may be small, but the danger is huge.
Malaria and dengue are still killing millions. In Nigeria, over 200,000 people die of malaria each year.

But we can fight back:
💧 Empty containers & gutters
🛏️ Sleep under a treated net
🏥 Test early. Treat quickly.

🗓️ This , tag someone who should know this.
Let’s break the cycle — one bite at a time.

👶🏿 Breastfeeding is one of the smartest investments in a child’s future.
It helps reduce childhood illnesses, supports brain development, and strengthens the mother-child bond.

But in Nigeria, 7 out of 10 babies miss out on the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding.
💡 Many parents want to breastfeed — they just need the right support.
This , let’s:
✅ Support mothers in the workplace
✅ Involve fathers and family
✅ Promote HIV-safe breastfeeding practices
Together, we can empower parents to give every child a healthier start in life.
