Malaria Day

Malaria is a parasitic disease caused by Plasmodium, transmitted to humans through the bite of female Anopheles mosquitos, and it is particularly common in tropical and subtropical regions. Malaria patients usually develop symptoms such as fever, headache, chills and general fatigue, which in severe cases can lead to coma and death. Despite the existence of some effective drugs and treatments, malaria, as one of the oldest diseases in human history, remains a serious public health problem worldwide. Every year, millions of people are infected and hundreds of thousands of people die, especially in the tropical and subtropical regions.

On this World Malaria Day, let us renew our commitment to ending malaria in West Africa and beyond. Together, we can turn the tide against this silent killer and create a healthier, more resilient future for all.
