RISE Clinic was opened on this day, April 21, 2012.
There was a vision to solve social problems, which unfortunately remain today. A group of young men and women from San Diego, California, set their eyes on Nigeria and decided to start from Adazi-Ani in Anambra State.
12 years later, the Health Sector in Nigeria or Anambra may not be what the citizens or contributors envisioned.
Max exodus of healthcare professionals, poor government support, and sky-high inflation make it hard to deliver healthcare in the cities and more developed urban areas. Imagine how difficult it is for providers in rural areas like Adazi-Ani.
The vision in terms of improved service delivery, access, affordability, and safety may remain ways down the road. Interestingly, the human capital development outcome is evident in the number of young healthcare and non-healthcare professionals practicing within Nigeria and outside its shores whose careers started at RISE Clinic, Adazi-Ani.
Today, a new set of young Nigerians led by an independent entrepreneur and pioneer staff of RISE Clinic, have assumed the revolutionary role of revitalizing and defending the vision.
This is a pure testament that planting a seed with good intentions, nurturing it with love and defending with passion will always lead to great outcomes even in harsh conditions.
Cheers to a new generation of dreamers and defenders!
