Cast divination for Efuufu lele
The one that never expected the fortune from Benin.
He was asked to perform sacrifice.
They said his Ori would take him to a lofty height.
He observed the sacrifice.
After a short while they sent for him from a far away city.

It is Efuufu Lele that got the unexpected fortune from Benin.

Ogunda on the right and Ogbe on the left is Ogunda Ogbe alias Ogundabede. It is the odu of thieves and liars. So the odu is saluted Olori ole! Chief of thieves!
The tortoise (Alabahun or Ijapa) is the animal character in Yoruba folklore that makes a living by deceiving, tricking and manipulating others. So, the odu is also that of Alabahun the trickster. The tortoise (Alabahun) is always going to have another one on you after the last time!
Ogundabede!
Baba Gbagun ala!
A difa fun Alabahun Ajapa
O jini kutukutu owuro

So the tortoise before setting out to trick people and getting away with it, had offered ebo which is why you never hear a story in Yoruba folklore where Alabahun the tortoise was ever outsmarted by anyone.

It is Ifa who says in Ose Otura, whenever you wake up early in the morning, you must always pray before doing anything. What is practical here is that as priest in this tradition it is necessary for us to genuflect and give honor to our shrines which hold the essence of our deities. What is also critical of us as priest and devotees is to learn the power of prayer.

On one hand doesn't matter who talks about you negatively when you have prayed early in the morning for the protection of Ifa? No, it doesn't matter who has thrown witchcraft when you have prayed early in the morning to Ifa?

When you don't have enough money to make it, have you ever known, really known Ifa, that when you pray and commit even the sacrifice of water, your prayers do not fall on empty space...

When we allow our faith and trust in Olodumare and Ifa to walk in front of us, we learn a valued lesson of love and faith are action words that Orisa use to heal our lives and they manifest our cries to them.

Ifa assures you that you will succeed in life. It is what you open your mouth to say in form of prayers that the Divinities will uphold.

Those unfortune and misguide people who plan to bring harm to you or cheat you or even lie on you will be humiliated as they attempted to humiliate you. Pray for them in the words of, "Let my enemies fight each other and not me." Those who continuously through jealousy of the things you do, or what are you gifts of spirit you have attempt to besmudge your name, or cheated you will pay for it.

Nobody can point evil fingers at you without paying dearly for it. But remember if you too go astray and become like your detractors will find the same spiritual force of Ifa at your back. Do what is good not just what is right.

On this, Ifa says:

Ifa ni ti a ba ji
Ka ke si Onire
Ki ire wa o le baa fin
Ifa ni ti a ba ji
Ka ke si Agbure
Ki etutu wa o le baa gba
Ka ke si Ako-loloolo
Ti ngberi ereke
Ti n yinbo surusuru
Ako-loloolo, o ti se n gberi ereke
Ti o n yinbo surusuru?
Ti n o gba Ikin i mi lowoo won o
Nitori Ikin i mi kii se Ikin-kikin
Ikin I mi kii se Orisa – korisa
Ikin Akoda, Ikin i mi ni o
Ikin Aseda, Ikin i mi ni o
Ikin Araba lale Ife Ikin i mi ni o
Ikin Agunregejege lode Egba, Ikin I mi ni o
Ikin Awurela lode Ijebu, ikin mi ni o

Translation
Ifa says that whenever we wake up
Let us call on Onire
For our supplications to manifest
Ifa says that whenever we wake up
Let us call on Agbure
For our rituals to be accepted
Let us call on Ako-loloolo bird
Who stays atop the hill and was praying unendingly
Ako-loloolo, why do you stay on top of the hill
And you are praying without end?
He declared that around this time last year
They fought against him as Aloro land
They carried all his Ikin and packed them
They carried all his Ikin and put them together
They dug the ground and threw them there
Orunmila declared that we should wait until the dry season
I chorus that we need to wait until the dry season
The dry season has almost come
When I will retrieve all my Ikin from them
The Ikin that Akoda is using are my Ikin
The ones being used by Aseda are my Ikin
The Ikin of Araba in the land of Ife are my Ikin
The Ikin of Agunregejege in Egba land are my Ikin
And even the Ikin of Awurela in Ijebu land belong to me

WHO IS ÈṢÙ?

Èṣù is a great irunmọlẹ (divine being) in the Yoruba traditional belief (Isese). He descended from Iwarun (heavenly state) to ìlẹ̀ ifẹ̀ (material earth) for a significant role as the mediator between the divines and humans. Divinity of crossroad, retribution, justice, prosperity and a great comforter.
Èṣù the advocate of justice, a great guardian and the messenger of ifa and irunmole

Èṣù could be seen as a clever and ingenious irúnmọlẹ̀ because of the way he works; supporting everyone that brings him offerings. Ẹni rúbọ ni Èṣù ń gbè!
So, you may wonder; he just supports everyone and anyone that sacrifices offerings to him regardless if they are in the good or bad? Eshu is made to take the lead by Olodumare, therefore, he must have a great discernment to know whom it’s time to be blessed and/or punished. This is the reason he has the respect (fear) of all and being invoked in everything we do in Isese.

Èṣù Ola Ilu, although one but with dispersed energies and manifestations giving him different roles(names) such as:
Èṣù Alájé — propitiating Eshu for the blessings of Ajé thence giving one wealth to enjoy prosperity.
Èṣù Ìjà — propitiating eshu for the purpose of victory in battles(mind you, battles include court cases, unsettled homes etc).
Èṣù Ìlú — Also, communities can propitiate eshu to fight offenders in the society, its consecration serves as protection for each Yoruba households in the past and still today.
Èṣù Ìránṣẹ́ — this sums the role of Esu as the messenger in Ifa and divinity as the intermediary of two worlds/states: physical-spiritual/good-bad. etc

Esu is your Ẹ̀san, Esu is your retribution, Esu is your karma. No! Èṣù is not Satan.

“Who then is Èṣù” if this question still crosses your mind this moment; drop your device, drink water, breathe in and out, pick up your device, scroll to the top of this article and read carefully again starting with WHO exactly ÈṢÙ is with his praises.

If you still didn’t get it, well you read this carefully:
Èṣù is Èṣù, the one whom Olodumare told to take the lead.
Èṣù is Èṣù, the one who runs errands for humanity and ensure check and balance in human life.
Èṣù is Èṣù, the one who punishes the offenders.
Èṣù is Èṣù Ọ̀dàrà, the great wonder performer.

Are you still confused and not satisfied? Well then, Join us in Osogbo at the stadium by 8am tomorrow to learn more.
Or any location closer to you because we are celebrating him worldwide tomorrow
December 24th for a great reason
