📰 NEWS IN DETAIL*
1. Executive Council Meets Dean of Pharmacy
On Tuesday, 5th June, 2025, the 16th Executive Council, led by President Abraham Victor, paid a courtesy visit to the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy. The meeting focused on student welfare, introduction of executives, and faculty development. It lasted approximately two hours and was described as highly productive and engaging.
2. Election of 100-Level Course Representative
Congratulations to Mr. Sylvanus, who emerged as Class Governor following the recent elections. His emergence was attributed to his proven leadership qualities and dedication to supporting his coursemates’ academic and social transition into university life.
3. Clarification on 100-Level CGPA
It has now been officially confirmed that CGPA from 100 level will not be included in the cumulative GPA calculations once students enter 200 level in the Pharm D program. This change ensures a more accurate and fair assessment of students' professional performance.
4. Repetition Policy for Failed 100-Level Courses
Students are reminded of failure in any 100-level course (except GST) will result in repeating the entire academic session. Foundational courses are critical; students should approach them with utmost seriousness and diligence. This not to however downplay the importance of GST. Please pass it.
5. Online Result Discrepancies
Reports of multiple "F" grades appearing online — while departmental records indicate otherwise — have surfaced. Affected students are advised to visit the affected departments immediately for verification and guidance. Avoid panic; follow official procedures.
6. Result Upload and Complaint Window
PANS NDU will notify all students once the result portal is active. Students are strongly encouraged to check their results within two weeks of upload. Any issues must be reported promptly to the appropriate academic authorities.
7. Orientation Program for New Students
A comprehensive orientation program for 100-level and 200-level students is scheduled for this month. The Dean has directed that all students must be in attendance, and academic activities will be temporarily suspended during the event. Details on the date and venue will be communicated shortly.
8. Mandatory Library ID Cards for Exams
In a joint decision by the Dean and student executives, all students must possess a Library ID card for identification during classes, examinations, and official school functions.
PANSITES are to wear these cards.
Deadline for 100-level students: June 26th, 2025
Deadline for returning students (Trailblazers, Elites, Phenomenals, Erudites): July 8th, 2025
Your Library ID also serves as your pass for the orientation ceremony.
⚠️ Note: Any rights or privileges lost due to the absence of an official ID card will be considered the student's sole responsibility.
