This morning, I boarded a sienna car to work. I was early at the bus stop, at the time Religious Zealots came out for their morning cry.

We were eight passengers in the car. In no moment, a middle aged man let out the "praise the Lord". Some few gruntled the alleluia in response.

Then he proceeded to the title of his sermon. He preached about the end time, and how Mansions had been prepared for every believer. Mansions made with gold and silver, we would have manna every day, and listen to melodious music from angels and cherubs. He spoke very eloquently and convincing. He looked forward to joining the "Host of Angels" in singing Alleluia.

As we approached Stadium on the narrow bend, a car swerved right before us. Our driver miscalculated and lost control. Our car swerved simultaneously right and left while trying to avoid cars and humans. Expectedly, I held unto a handle at the back of a seat, while some were shouting blood of Jesus, including our preacher who had stopped his sermon. He was shouting "Save me oh God".

LOL.

After some time the driver regained control of his car, and everything came to normalcy.

Till we got to CMS Bus stop, our preacher didn't continue his preaching. I guess he will give a testimony in Church on Sunday on how his preaching and prayer saved a car from crashing.

Everybody want go Heaven, but they nor want d!e.

Africa is a continent where prisoners have more rights than those who are free.

How can a child who has decided to have a good future for himself and his society be made to pay for his uniforms, transport, meals, electricity and books; whereas prisoners have all these for free.

How can prisoners get free medical attention, but free citizens get it.

How can a government build good prisons and maintains their meals, but can not build good houses and maintain free meals for her free citizens.

How can prisoners get free education and rehabilitation, but the free citizens can not get free education.

How can Nigeria not be able to produce our basic needs. We have the materials and mineral resources, but we must import them.

How can?
How can?
How can?

THE LABOUR OF OUR HEROES PAST SHALL NEVER BE IN VAIN.

Yesterday, Nigeria played in the qualifying tournament against Benin Republic. Unfortunately, Nigeria lost the match, even though they led with the first goal.

It is a culture in Nigeria to blame the Super Eagle's failure to win on the coach, and that has made the NFF to replace coaches multiple times over in the last decades.

But we have failed to tell ourselves the truth. The truth stare at us everyday. We keep making the same mistakes over and over times, but we do not learn from history.

A cursory look at our former National Anthem will reveal an opposite attitude towards change, national development, progress, and continuity of the LABOURS OF OUR HEROES PAST. Indeed, the labours have been in vain, in all sectors.

The poor performance of our Super Eagles didn't start today. Poor performances are not exclusive to Nigeria alone. But what makes a team or country stand out is the determination to be better with continued progress.

Continued progression is lacking in our National team, and if care is not taken, we may not have a good team for the next decades to qualify for AMCOM, and World Cup tournaments. There are many factors that will precipitate this dilemma, which includes the dearth of national interest, ethnic sentiments and corruption within the NFF, lazy attitude towards patriotism, and many others.

It is the youths that will play and not the old Politicians. It is regrettable that the majority of the youths are wasting away their talents in Yah00, thuggery, drvgs trafficking, r@pe, robbery, et all in the name of survival and making money.

It is therefore safe to say that the golden age of Nigeria football is officially over.

Government, individuals and groups should establish sport centres where children can develop their skills, as access to stadiums seems difficult to many children.

And if no deliberate action is taken to revive national patriotism and interest, and continued progress, then the labour of our heroes past shall be in vain.

21 Billion Naira was used to build a building for the VP in this austere period, and the economy has not crumbled.

Nigeria is on siege.

I did not want to join the bandwagon in posting or talking about the current trending video of Saidaboj. But this is a result of a dysfunctional and rotten society, where negativity trends and shoots one to fame and stardom.

Nigerians have become too emotional, and that is fatal for a developing nation. "Do what makes you happy" has become the mantra of a people who do not want to take responsibility and accountability.

Morality has taken the backseat of home training. Parents are quiet and our elders have gone blind. Who do we look up to?

Soon, the likes of Saidaboj will join the ranks and files. If you belong to the school of thought that thinks she "might" be innocent of what she said, then something is wrong with you. Wait until her victims begin to cry out, or when she becomes desperate for marriage.

How do we regain moral sanity in this our morally decadent society?

The Central Bank of Nigeria has instructed banks and other financial institutions to charge a cybersecurity fee on all banking transactions.

Which one is Cybersecurity fee now?

SECTION 20 OF THE NATIONAL HEALTH ACT 2014:

(1) A health care provider, health worker or health establishment shall not refuse a person emergency medical treatment for any reason.

(2) A person who contravenes this section commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine of N100, 000.00 or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months or to both.

SECTION ONE OF COMPULSORY TREATMENT AND CARE FOR VICTIMS OF GUNSHOT ACT 2017:

"Any Hospital in Nigeria whether Public or Private shall accept and receive for immediate and adequate medical treatment with or without Police Clearance any Person with a Gunshot wound".

SECTION 11:

"Anybody or Authority including a Police Officer or Hospital Staff or Security Agents that stands by and refuse to perform their duty and causes unnecessary deaths of a victim of gunshot is liable to #500, 000. 00 fine or 5 years Imprisonment or BOTH".

Why are Hospitals, Doctors and Nurses still DEMANDING and asking for POLICE REPORTS for PATIENTS that have EMERGENCY need?

But we are not ready for this. Now you know.

It was around the year 2002 during the AFCON. It was Nigeria vs Senegal. I abandoned everything I was doing to watch this match. I nearly had a heart attack. After the match, though Nigeria won, I vowed never to watch Nigeria matches again.

As reported after Nigeria's match with South Africa yesterday, an APC Chieftain and a serving Youth Corp member died from heart attack while watching the match.

Please, know what your heart can carry, what news you would hear and remain sane, what scene you can see and remain a human being.

Take care of your health y'all.

The Monday Morning Digest

The greatest tool in the world is the human mind. A mind that is resolute will make exploit, and conquer. However, if you do not stoop, you will not conquer.

The reason many of us have not fulfilled our destiny in the world is because we have not developed our mind. Develop your mind, you find your purpose, and you will see your path before you. Your mind is the tool you need. Develop your mind. Be creative.

Don't misplace your priority. Know when to pray and when to work. Africans are mostly known to be devoutly religious when they are supposed to work. Sadly, what you pray for to succeed is inside you. You only have to develop the YOU in you to succeed, and that is your mind.

Be consistent with your work, and prayer. Consistency is key, and someday you will find perfection and become a master in what you do.

Be honest with yourself and those you do business with. Protect your integrity. It will be handy someday. Guard it with your life.

May you succeed today, and always.
