When we go to weddings/ burials and they share souvenirs that are useful like dustpans, filter, spoons,

We take them as common things.

The dustpan I’ve been using in my house was a souvenir. I’ve never gone to the market to buy dustpan before.

If you see that dustpan now ehn, it’s begging for mercy. I’ve k!lled it’s body and soul, and right now, it’s the spirit I’m using.

Sometimes, I pity it and allow it to breathe and use picture, carton, book, anything that can park dirt.

The last time I attended a wedding was in January 2023. Maybe if I attend weddings a lot, before I’ll attend like 5, one must share dustpan 🤣

But no, i don’t even know people doing weddings. Biko, if you’re seeing this post and your wedding is approaching, invite me oo. Make I go do awwwwn! God when? Small.

Today, I entered the market and the spirit of my dustpan pushed this man selling plastics with his wheelbarrow to move my direction.

I’ve already passed o cux what I was carrying was quite heavy; but the spirit of my dustpan was saying “loose me and let me go” it pushed me to call the man back and I bought this beaurry🥰

Even to park dirty don still cost, I bought this for 500 naira.

I was in primary 3 when I heard from my classmate that it’s curry that makes rice green when preparing fried rice.

I got home after school that day, nobody was home but my food was in the kitchen. Luckily for me, it was rice.

I turned on the gas cooker for the first time. Added my rice inside pot even though stew was in it, added enough curry and rice turned green.

I turned off the cooker, tasted the rice and it was too tasty, I couldn’t eat it cux the curry was too much, plus the plate got badly burnt.

I threw both the food and plate away. (Chai! I don do things sha🥲)

Experiment carried out 💯 and I now know first hand that it’s truly curry, my classmate definitely heard from me the next day.

These days while making fried rice, I don’t use curry at all, I use turmeric instead.

As I was preparing to make this food today, I discovered that the turmeric I bought yesterday wasn’t added to my bag. I can’t tell if the woman calculated it with the money I paid and there was no way I could go back to the market.

Thank God I had curry in the house.

Customers are always right is not for these days market women o.

I’ve come across 2 posts today that people said vendor wanted to eat them raw because they priced 🤣🤣

When the price of garri newly went up, I messaged a vendor that I needed a bag. When she gave me her price, I told her that It was much.

I was expecting this Aunty to pet me smuulll🤏 and explain that things are costly now 😁 but instead she just told me to check another vendor.

Me in my head: Ahnahn, na so una de do for here? Ozigbo ozigbo business chat has ended.

This woman nor send my papa oo😒

Things are actually hard and when market people respond the way de do most times, they’re doing it out of frustration.

Even though some of them have bàd character.

I know how many times I’ve typed a message in reply to one kind yeye pricing and as I’m about to send, my mind will just tell me to clean that thing and I’ll retype a more pleasant message to send.

Dear market people,

The situation of the country is hard for everybody not only you. The way you’re looking for means to survive and buy things cheaply is same way those coming to patronize you are looking for it too.

Try calm down and not use frustration to chase potential customers away. Abi market wey you de sell, na you go use am?

Those transporters are on another level sef. Keke man go de do like say na only am the price of fuel de affect and you wey de enter the Keke get where you de collect fuel free of charge.

In all these katakata, our government said we should learn the old anthem.

I saw a video of a man praising his wife, and saying people should marry their best friends because his wife was in the kitchen cooking his favorite vegetable soup 24 hours after delivering their baby 😮

Wife material 1,000 yards no do pass this one.

It's their marriage and her body so I'm not going to say whether she did well or not.

Now, carrying a baby for 9 months is not moi moi. Delivering that child is not beans.

For the fact that a woman feels strong after delivery doesn't mean she's actually strong.

That's why most hospitals do not discharge women like that, they'll have to make sure you're really fit and you'll get enough rest at home before discharging you.

It's mostly government hospitals that discharge like the next day because of space. (Especially if the mother is fit)

My labour didn't start naturally and because I was still fine, not feeling anything but under observation in the hospital, I thought labour will actually be swift.

I kept telling the lady we shared a room together "sorry" cux she kept on tapping herself and trying not to scream. I could see that she was in severe pain while I was busy pressing my phone and telling her sorry.

I was finally induced and 4 hours after that, you need to see crase😪

After I delivered, I had tear, I was stitched and that one was another level of pain entirely.

I couldn't sit properly for weeks. I kept on complaining of the pains even after I've been discharged.

Like the pain was affecting my brain.

One week after, like play, I was rushed back to the hospital and I spent some days there with my baby before I was finally discharged.

Even after being discharged, I was still visiting the hospital for checkups. For myself o, not my baby.

I even saw a video of one who just gave birth and prepared for her wedding same day (una de take risk oo)

Aunty that just delivered, stop forming Mohammed Ali and allow yourself heal properly, rest well and be pampered.

That food you're rushing to cook, you'll still cook it when you fully recover.

Now dear men, delivering a baby takes a whole lot. Even if that woman tells you that she's strong, please be human enough to tell her to rest.

Let her only job for at least some weeks be to breastfeed the baby.

Marry your friend that you're his friend too o. E get why.

Many people don’t like you. They’ve just not seen any opportunity to drag you yet.

When the opportunity comes, you’ll not believe your eyes cux they’ll drag you more than I better pass my neighbor generator.

If not, who would have thought that a whole Mercy Chinwo will go through this kind of controversy with her baby?

When I gave birth to my girl, she looked exactly like me (at least, that’s what people said)

She opens her mouth often and people suggested I use my fingers to sight her lips so she’ll be learning to close them.

I couldn’t do that to a little baby. So I let her be.
She also had a very noticeable bow leg.

As she grows, she began to look like her father. So much like him that I can tell that she doesn’t look like me.

Today, she doesn’t leave her mouths opened. Even if she unconsciously does, I just have to tell her to close her mouth and she’ll do it.

Her bow legs has completely straightened that you won’t believe she once had that kind of legs.

Stop being mean to people, especially to babies. Most children that are not too beautiful as babies turn out to be very beautiful when they’re grown.

Stop concluding on people’s physical looks. You cannot create even a strand of hair on someone’s head not to talk of a complete human being.

The insensitivity of most Nigerians is alarming.

Some of them really deserve this Nigeria, it’s president and economy.

Like, who trolls a little baby?

I felt Erisco’s CEO was overdoing whatever he was doing to Chioma but today, if I was Mercy Chinwo, I will do more than that.

You see those mugus that said her baby looked like Nathaniel Bassey and DNA needs to be done, they’ll be the ones to provide the evidence and rot in jail.

After I finished giving one gbasgbos, she said she didn’t say anything bad she only said the child looked like Nathaniel Bassey.

Now imagine after giving birth, one of your neighbors said “This your baby no fine and e too resemble our landlord o”

Those that sound like a compliment? Those it not sound like that neigbor is trying to pass a message?

Even if you take it lightly, what about the people who heard such statement? What about the husband? Have you not sown a seed of suspicion like that?

Some people open mouth to talk waaaaaa without thinking twice about how the person they’re talking to will feel about it.

Who even made the rule that a child must look like his father or mother?
Even though some of them are too blind to see that this child looks like his father.

Now I see why people don’t post their babies online. Many Nigerians no get sense at all.

So, I was with the chairman Abi one of the members of brotherhood community today.

He asked if my hair was dread and I said NO.

He said as I’m carrying this hair like this, am I not fine? He said this one is better than those gwongwonro we carry on our heads in the name of beauty 🤣🤣🤣

So he said I should tell the sisterhood community that the brothers are always proud of their women when they’re not artificial.

According to him, men like women that are natural, he said it’s not about not wanting to spend money o, but a woman should be true to herself and any man meant for her will like her like that.

He said imagine a man loves a woman with big ikebe not knowing that it was padded only to get home and meet ikebe that’s as flat as slippers, it’ll be a real turn off.

Okay darling, we’ve heard you.

But who are those men that buy these human hair and gifts their women?

See, there are things that enhances beauty and good hair plus makeup is one of it. It’s not every occasion that requires you to be natural as a woman.

If you don’t like make up and hairs on women, there are many women out there who do not fancy those things too. Go for them and have your peace.

Like I said, I cannot project my life style on another person. Plus looks can be deceptive.

In as much as we address people most times by the way they’re dressed, we still cannot judge a book by its cover.

So, I’ve relayed the message dear sisters. If you can, let all things be done in moderation. Be yourself and reduce fake life😀

When most Nigerians hear next of kin, they see it as one who will inherit their property(ies) when they die.

I was in the bank and they were attending to an elderly man before me.

Baba has filled his form and written his wife’s details as next next of kin.

He was asked to fill the phone number area and he put his own phone number.

The banker: Sir, this is still your phone number here, please we need the phone number of your wife.

Baba insisted that the phone number should be like that.

The banker refused and told him that he needed a different phone number.

Baba said his phone was switched off if not he would have put his wife’s number since he doesn’t have it off heart.

Banker asked him to bring his phone so he can power it a little.

Baba brought out his phone from the bag, I was standing behind him, so I could see the phone clearly when he pressed it. Baba was having a fully charged phone.

He eventually called out a number (not sure whose number it is) and the banker wrote it down.

Now,

Next of kin is also someone who can make decisions in your stead.

In cases where one is involved in an accident, the next of kin is the one to be contacted immediately.

As a married man/woman, with little kids, your spouse should be your next of kin or any other related or close person that has sense.

When your children comes of age, one of them can be used as that.

Using a child as next of kin is still not wise because that child cannot make any reasonable decision for you.

Your next of kin shouldn’t be someone far from you. They should live with or close to you incase of emergency.

A man who uses his mother who lives in the village as next of kin and is involved in an accident that needs a go ahead from him next of kin before his life will be saved will dîe before his mother arrives from the village.

There are many things we need to be enlightened about. And this is one of it.

Imagine that Baba has succeeded in using his phone number as next of kin even in other places and he was involved in an accident.

They’ll be calling the number of his next of kin and his own phone will be ringing. 🙄 What’s now the point?

The reason people don’t trust their spouses with things like this is because they married the weapon fashioned against them😔

Since the last time I gave madam my phone to snap me and she snapped only my legs and half parts of my body,

I’ve stuck to either not snapping when I don’t see an adult or taking selfies.

Each time I drop my phone and she picks it, going to the galaxy, I see pictures of just heads, hands or funny videos.

This Aunty is using my phone to learn photography🙄🙄

Many things in Nigeria will shock you, everyday new cases.

I was returning from market this afternoon and the diver entered a filling station to get fuel.

Reaching there, there was no light. The Pump attendant had to go and put on generator before she could sell fuel.

It was surprising to us, some of the passengers said they never knew the filling station was working since there was no light.

After selling the fuel to us, Aunty went back to put off the generator.

Like, it has now gotten to the extent that people who sell fuel now manage fuel too 😂😂

Even Nepa office de use generator for this country.

I really don’t know what’s working properly sef.

No light
No food
No money
No good network
Every minutes, new increased prices.

Only heat is doing it’s job.
