Day 2 of the Africa Primary Health Care Forum ( ) 2025, delivered another wave of insightful knowledge exchange, this time spotlighting transformative research, implementation lessons, and data-driven solutions to workforce and service delivery challenges.

At the oral abstract session, 13 presentations were made, including the LG.95 Human Resource for Health (HRH) Project, presented by Clinton Health Access Initiative ( ) in partnership with London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. The presentation shared findings from Niger and Ondo States, revealing that 80% of assessed PHCs recorded productivity below 50%, with absenteeism as high as 77% - posing a serious threat to quality service delivery. In response, facility-led interventions like skilled birth attendant recruitment, strategic staff posting, and recognition awards were adopted to boost performance.

We were honoured to showcase other impact of our Health Partnerships during the poster exhibition:
🔹LG.135: Early Childhood Development project in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife – “Beyond the Child: A partnership to build capacity at Primary Healthcare Centres for the early identification and management of developmental delays and disabilities in Osun State, Nigeria.”
🔹LG.95: Human Resource for Health project- “Assessing PHC Workforce Productivity in Niger and Ondo States: Implications for Service Delivery in Underserved Settings.”

Dr. Ladi Abudu (Lagos State Primary Health Care Board) presented a success case from Lagos State’s Collaborative Learning Project, which enhanced PHC facility performance through capacity-building, performance incentives, and improved data use. Through a collaborative learning model, the project:
✅ Identified key competency gaps
✅ Built capacity of PHC managers
✅ Introduced performance-based incentives.

At Ducit Blue Solutions, we are proud to be part of this vital conversation and remain committed to strengthening systems and equitable access to Health care through partnerships, Health workforce development, evidence-based strategies and sustainable innovations that truly serve communities across Africa.
