Regina Caeli Specialist Hospital Hosts Quadruple Event in Awka
Regina Caeli Specialist Hospital, Awka, recorded a major milestone on December 29, 2025, as it hosted a quadruple celebration that brought together healthcare development, pastoral leadership, priestly jubilee, and institutional growth.
The highlight of the event was the commissioning of a newly completed Ward and Theatre Complex, a state-of-the-art facility designed to strengthen healthcare delivery within the hospital. The complex was sponsored by the Onyii Fly Foundation, founded by Rev. Fr. Paulinus Onyii Anaedu, as part of the foundation’s commitment to improving access to quality medical care.
The occasion also featured a pastoral visit by the Bishop of the Awka, Most Rev. Paulinus C. Ezeokafor, who is the proprietor of Regina Caeli Specialist Hospital. In his address, the Bishop commended the hospital’s management for its steady growth and reiterated the Church’s commitment to healthcare as a vital aspect of human dignity and service.
Adding to the significance of the day was the celebration of the 30th priestly anniversary of Rev. Fr. Paulinus Onyii Anaedu, which coincided with the commissioning ceremony. The anniversary was marked with prayers and goodwill messages in recognition of his three decades of service to the Church and society.
The MD/CEO of Regina Caeli Specialist Hospital, Awka, Rev Fr Innocent Affusim, gave a heartfelt speech at the event. He expressed his gratitude to Rev Fr Paulinus Onyii Anaedu and the Bishop for their support.
