Things you should know about Coronavirus and the eyes
Just as coronavirus is contracted through the droplets from the mouth and the nose, it can also enter the body through the eye.
Research has shown the presence and manifestation of the virus in the tears of an infected person.
There is a chance, someone can be infected by touching the eyes after touching something that has the virus.
Protect yourself from Coronavirus by caring for you eyes;
switching from contact lenses to spectacle lenses to reduce too much contact with the eyes.
Practice good hygiene, wash your hands regularly and avoid touching/rubbing the eyes. if you must touch your eyes for any reason, wash you hands properly
Wear corrective lenses/Sunglasses, this could shield the eyes from the infected respiratory droplets. although they don’t provide 100% security compared to safety google because these droplets may pass through the exposed sides of the spectacle.
Reduce physical contact and follow other guidelines recommended by NCDC.
