Mission: The pursuance of the overall development of women and youths, through education and services on issues and trends that affect them. Vision: A world where women and youths are empowered through the provision of relevant information, education and services on issues and trends that affect them, using existing community leadership structures.

It was with great joy that we welcomed our Founder and Programme Director, Dr. Uduak Daniel (wearing cap) to the HQ in Calabar, as we resumed the GF/NACA/ATM/C19RM Project. It was a time of housekeeping, strategic planning and preparing for DO's community outreach projects.

Happy New Year to our valued partners, stakeholders and beneficiaries! Thank you for partnering with us in 2024 - we look forward to a 2025 full of success, increase and happiness. We are committed to informing, educating and providing relevant services to women and youths individually and collectively. Know us more in the "About" page.

DO works majorly with volunteers - visit our office or send a message on any of platforms for more information. Find our core projects below to guide your informed decision/s:

1. Sustainable Skill Development (SSD) project- a skills acquisition and income generation project. Since 2001.
2. Put A Smile Project (PASP) - a welfare project that reaches out to the indigent, especially perinatal women and children in very vulnerable conditions. Since 2007.
3. Community Empowerment Project (CEP) – economic empowerment andrelated services. Since 2007.
4. Community Maternal Health Project (CMH) – maternal mortality and morbidity mitigation. Since 2008.
5. DO Home Care Project (DOHCAP) - community and home based palliative care. Since 2012.
6. Encouraging Survivors of Trying Encounters, Empowering unto Might (ESTEEM) Project - Interventions for victims and survivors of domestic and gender-based violence. Since 2016.

Please donate to DO in cash or kind as follows:

2. Donate: Beddings, foodstuff, toiletries, clothing, office furniture, work tools and office equipment.

DO GF GC6 Brief

In April 2022, DO was one of the NGOs called on to implement the Global Fund (GF), Grant Cycle (GC6) Malaria project in Urua Etak Uyo, Creek Town and Okurikang communities of Odukpani, Cross River State. It ran from April 2022 to December 2023. Through the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) and coordinated by the Civil Society for Nutrition and Malaria in Nigeria (ACOMIN). DO's achievements at the end of project gave us an opportunity to implement the TB project in the ongoing GC7.
