*Appreciation message By Hon. Joseph Effiong on His Successful Election and Inauguration as the 31st President NAAKIMS-UCC*

On March 15th, 2025, I was officially elected and inaugurated to serve as Executive President of the National Association of Akwa Ibom Medical and Dental Students, University of Calabar Chapter (NAAKIMS-UCC).

I write now with a heart full of humility and great joy to appreciate NAAKIMSites for this chance they gave me to serve them as their president for the next year.

I understand that this election comes with a lot of responsibilities. However, I am willing and ready to accept such responsibilities and to serve NAAKIMS with my full mind and strength.

The journey to this point has not been an easy one, and so I want to appreciate all my supporters, well wishers, advisers and sponsors. This victory is yours much more than it is mine, and so I dedicate it to you.

Excess thanks are also due to the immediate past president, Sen Daniel Akpan, and all other members of the 2024/2025 immediate past executive council. They have left a big shoe for me to fill, and indeed, I am humbled to even contemplate matching them. Their advice and counsel has been immensely helpful to me in coming this far.

To my classmates and the members of my constituency in NAAKIMS-UCC, I appreciate your faith in me, and I promise I will not let you down.

Thank you very much NAAKIMS-UCC for giving me this mandate. You will not be disappointed. Our work is great, but our resolve is greater.

We will make Naakims UCC greater and greater again in this administration. Thank you very much and may God bless us all.
