What to Do When It Feels Like You’re Failing (In 5 Steps)

Step 1 – Stop trying.
Pause. Breathe. Sometimes, the best thing you can do is stop forcing things to work.

Step 2 – Go into hiding.
Not in a “ghost everyone” way, but in a “step back and realign” way. You need space to think.

Step 3– Evaluate your failures and write out all the lessons.
Failure isn’t final—it's a classroom. What did you learn? Write it down.

Step 4 – Have an honest conversation with God.
Feel free to cry. Pour out your heart. He’s listening.

Step 5 – Write out the new instructions He gives you.
Then, act on them. And if you need guidance, see a Bible-believing counselor—like me.

You’re not failing. You’re evolving.

What Does It Feel Like to Be 25?

I thought I would feel excited—so why am I panicking?

I’ve seen people throw big parties for their 25th birthday, or at least have their loved ones plan a surprise for them. But mine? It came with no glamour at all. It was quiet. It was sad.

It took the Holy Spirit to call me out on my ingratitude.

You're not everything you imagined you would be, but you're also not where you used to be.
You're not married.
You're not pregnant.
You don't have kids.
You may not even have a boyfriend.
You might be jobless.
You could even be somewhat homeless—crashing at a friend’s place or still living with your parents.

But who created this benchmark?
Who decided there was a deadline for success?
And who even said you failed?

What really is failure?

Maybe, like me, you've been listening to society for so long that you’ve lost touch with who you really are.

When you turn 25, nothing miraculously changes. You don’t wake up feeling different. And the only people who truly celebrate you are those you’ve impacted.

Reinventing yourself.
In 2022, it took me 8 months of my life to build a social media presence.
My FB account was doing well.
In fact, I was going to get a 200k job as a social media manager without previous experience.
All I did was show the hiring manager my personal account.
And, he was ready to hire me on the spot. Just that I lived very far from my proposed place of work.

I made 75k from a coaching class.
Had a thriving creative community.
Was raking in hundreds of thousands every week.
My account was never empty.
Balled all through my service year.
Pride started stepping in.
I thought I had no need of prayer anymore. I was heading for doom.

Then Abba saved me. One after another, he took away from me my defences, the fascade, and finally my pride.

I lost all my clients one after another.
And, I needed to start all over.
At first, I did a 9-5 for a year that killed my personal brand finally.

I hated what my life at become and I had a conversation with Abba.

"Baba, how far? What's happening to me? What did I do wrong...?"

It was an honest conversation.
I quickly retraced my steps. Thank God for mercy. I quickly started making plans to act on all that God has showed me. One of such instructions was relocating.

If you're reinventing yourself like me. Know that it is never top late to start again and results can be replicated. If you've done it before you can do much more even now.

I am hosting a super session in CAB this Friday, where I will be talking about reinventing yourself. Use the link to join us. See you at the other side.

Friendship in Your 20s – The Struggle Is Real

You start to realize that not everyone who calls you “friend” is actually your friend.

Some friendships are one-sided—you give, they take. You show up, they disappear. And the hard truth? Real friends don’t just say it; they show it.

Friendship is sacrifice. It’s effort. It’s mutual. The people who truly care about you will not make you guess where you stand. They’ll be there, not just when it’s convenient, but when it truly matters.

Here’s the thing:
❌ Stop trying to force all your friends to be friends with each other.
✅ Be intentional about building quality friendships.
✅ Categorize your friends—not everyone deserves the same access.
✅ Give people the energy they give you.
✅ Friendship is mutual—if it’s always you doing the work, it’s not a friendship.

Meanwhile, this is the season of your life where you can't do life alone.

Emergency calls are real. Who can you call by 2am?
Sapa will do you one or two? Who will you call? Which of your friends would pull every string for you to make something for yourself?
You have been foolish for a while, who will you report yourself to without fear of been judged?
Your 3 years relationship was flushed down the drain? Whose house would you crash at for a week?

Your 20s will teach you that friendship is not just about having people around. it’s about having the right people around.

Girl-to-Girl: Things I learnt late in life

1️⃣ Talking stage is NOT dating, but it can make you emotionally unavailable. Stop daydreaming, sis. Bruh is wasting your time and damaging your soul.

2️⃣ Menstrual cramps are NOT normal.
All those period symptoms? Your body is waving a red flag about your health. Answer the call today.

3️⃣ Make your own money. Start a business, get a job do something for yourself. Financial independence is self-respect.

4️⃣ Your relationship with your father affects your relationship with men. Even your view of God. If you don’t heal, you will project.

5️⃣ Marriage is NOT a reward for being a good girl. If you lack the right knowledge, you’ll marry nonsense. Come and beat me, I’m in my house.

6️⃣ Sieve your friends like you're looking for fine garri. Your inner circle should be tiny. No matter how much you lie, your friends are a reflection of you.

7️⃣ You can have it ALL. Yes, I said what I said. You can be beautiful, on fire, thriving in business, have a man who loves God, a beautiful home, and amazing kids. Nothing missing, nothing broken.

8️⃣ If a man you don’t want is chasing you, shut it down. Don’t sit there smiling sheepishly while collecting endless gift boxes.

9️⃣ Nobody will love you if you don’t love yourself. When you have money, your eyes will open, and you won’t be desperate for a man. Spoil yourself, baby girl. Love on YOU.

🔟 Master communication, confidence, and negotiation. Confidence is louder than makeup. it walks into the room before you do.

Why Writing a Book Can Elevate Your Professional Brand

Listen up, professionals and go-getters: if you're not leveraging the power of a book to boost your brand, you're leaving massive opportunities on the table.

Here's the deal, writing a book isn’t just for “writers.” It’s the ultimate power move for establishing authority in your field and making your voice impossible to ignore.

Think about it. When you publish a book, you instantly position yourself as the go-to expert.

People don’t question the knowledge of an author, they assume you know your stuff.

Imagine your potential clients, employers, or investors seeing your name on a book cover. Game-changer, right?

A book also does the heavy lifting for your marketing. It tells your story, shares your expertise, and connects with your audience on a deeper level—all while you're sleeping.

Plus, it opens doors you didn’t even know existed: speaking gigs, media features, partnerships.

Have you purchased one of our books, The diary of a scammed adult, it cost just 2k, send a dm.

Pov : Writer's block😕

Writer's block means when a writer is not in a creative space, mentally.🥺

Here's how I deal with my block, and how you can deal with yours too.

1. Take a break.
2. Attend to your emotional distress.
3. Change your environment.
4. Talk out your ideas.

Look at what Aproko Doctor is doing with content creation.

Teaching us about our health in the most hilarious way.

Nobody is saying content creation would be easy.

I have an hybrid job in two different establishments.

I have two different roles.

I know how much I have suffered since January to show up for my personal brand.

And, this is not even about the extra cash.

Yes, you will make a few bucks.

But, understanding there is a role that content creation plays in every career will set you apart from your colleagues.

Happy weekend

The Tunde Ednut and The Tunde Onakoya of this world have different journeys, different processes, and consequently different results.

Hence, you don't expect consistency to be the same for them.

You can't do all the wrong things regularly and call it consistency.

Haoma Worgwu has to post regularly on LinkedIn because this is her Dome.

You can't expect mummy Ibukun Awosika to wake up tomorrow morning and She is entertaining you on LinkedIn.

Why?
She has meetings to attend and that come has top priority.

Apostle Joshua Selman may not be active on social media because he has grounds to cover for Christ.

You get the gist?

We all have different journey, and the way to cover pace on this journey differs.

Christian Ronaldo is a footballer; consistency is practicing on the pitch to win another medal.

Stop the comparison and figure out how to cover up pace on your journey! Period!
