The place of research in the advancement of medication therapy management cannot be overemphasized so we bring to you a 2-day capacity building workshop for pharmacists, doctors, nurses, medical laboratory scientists, physiotherapists, medical radiographers and medical and allied health courses students themed: Advancing Pharmaceutical Care through drug use research.

Pharmaceutical care demands that pharmacist provides expertise in handling patient questions that could hinder adherence to drug therapy;thus resulting in poor clinical& humanistic outcomes. For the Pharmacist to effectively render pharmaceutical care, he/she must demonstrate good clinical skills such as clinical/ critical thinking, interviewing / communication skill,documentation skill with updated professional knowledge. For all these reasons,a pharmacist in the 21st century must be involved in professional continueing educational programs.
