Consistency is 🔑
When you focus on eating whole foods packed with nutritional value and are consistent with that approach, your body composition changes.
Here's some tips I have for you if you're looking to make a change in your health and fitness:
1️⃣ On a weekly basis be consistent with your breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Keep the same family of foods and rotate them weekly without drastic changes.
2️⃣ Your body talks to you, listen to it. Eat to be satisfied throughout the day, not starve. You’ll be energized and start building a healthy relationship with food. In order to increase muscle and decrease body fat, you’ll need to provide your body will all macronutrients and micronutrients. Muscle needs fuel, and body fat decreases with a consistent workout regimen (you’re exerting energy).
3️⃣ The 🔑 is in being consistent with both variables (your exercise regimen and how you eat daily). This approach will create healthy habits and long term results. Make changes slowly as the weeks go by.
Remember this isn’t a race, but a marathon.
You want long term results, not just a quick fix.
What truly matters is what you do most of the time, not what you do once in a while.
For 10 years I’ve been teaching and preaching this lifestyle and while I may fluctuate like everyone here (having baby, getting sick with COVID, and/or undergoing major life transitions) my approach stays the same.
