I was on the verge of loosing it. I have an aged mother to look after, who has a chronic medical condition that needed special attention, care, diet and needs. Further more, my young family with 4 kids who needed all the care and support, had a toll on me too. With a husband whose income could barely solve a third of our needs despite his leaving early in the morning and coming back later in the night everyday, I had to secure a job to assist in taking care of the home front and providing my aged mother's needs.
My everyday life was in chaos, working a 9 to 5 job with a rarely present husband to fill in some gaps, I found myself looking stressed up everyday. I looked almost haggard because I had a lot of work and organisation to do everyday.
My aged mother has been on a special diet which required extra finances a and so, quitting my job was never an option. The other members of my family were on a different diet as I have growing children who needed different diet too.
My mother needed timely intake of her daily medications, timely meals and special exercises. She also needed help with almost everything like someone bathing her, cleaning up after her, assisting in feeding her and much more.
I have employed several helps in the past to fill in the void in my absence but they ended up getting tired and quitting or missing her feeding and medication timing which has resulted in several readmissions of my mother in the hospital.
I was stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea. I have received some queries at work for sneaking home during most lunch periods to get home and feed her and administer medications or monitor or coach the helps and not being able to meet up in time to continue with work after lunch breaks. I occasionally get stuck in traffic.
I was bitter because my mother was not getting the adequate care she needed. I was on the verge of loosing it until I found a home and health care organisation's advertisement on Facebook and contacted them to know about their services.
To cut a long story short, Best home and Health care has been a saviour to me because my mother's health and home care has been top notch with skilled home care doctors, nurses and care givers that they have. This has brought the frequent admissions of my mother to the hospital to a total halt as I get everything at the comfort of my home.
