My name is Dr Som of Batya Eyecare!
I’m here to check on you all and encourage you to keep making little steps towards your goal. It’s ok to be scared of your dreams , but it’s not ok to dwell in the fear that overwhelmes you when you think of your dreams and ambition.
It’s also ok to be the only who understand your calling. Clarity it is 👌🏾
Be the true version of yourself , put in the efforts, then watch God perfect it while being patient. The problem is, often times a lot of people just want instant outcome to everything, even in eyecare some patients just want the doctor to perform magic and get all settled within some minuites 😀, well…. It’s expected as humans but may I remind you all that in all you do be patient and give it time while maintaining a positive attitude.
I wish you all the best in your eye vision, your aspirations in life and sound health generally.

Most people walk in to our eyecare facility for the first time asking if our equipments are actually functional? Some ask if what we posted is actually in our facility?
In their words … Onarukwa oru? Meaning hope it’s functional?
To us its a strange question and quite funny at same time 🤣.But we respond to the answer politely becuase you really can’t tell if they are asking from a place of bad experience elsewhere. Ofcourse, you would see the findings and interpretations of every procedure .

At Batya Eyecare we procure the latest ophthalmic equipments and gadgets for prompt and precise diagnosis and management , this is what we are known for over the past 8 years till date.

Another holiday is here , when parents / guardians rely heavily on digital gadgets to keep their children occupied with games , cartoons and prolonged study sessions thereby ruining their vision gradually.
📌Parents should monitor screen time and set limits on it to ensure balance with other activities.
📌Designating screen free zones such as during or before meals can promote healthy habits greatly .

📌Suggested Age specific guidelines
Children under 18 months : No screen time except for video chatting with family and friends.
📌Children 18- 24 months : Some highly quality educational programming with parental guidance.
📌Children 2-5 years : Limit screen time to 1 hour per day under parental guidance.
📌Children 6 and older: Place consistent limits on screen time, be sure it does not interfere with physical activity, sleep and other activities.

🤗Prioritise physical activity that promote healthy development of the child’s general wellbeing including outdoor play .
👌🏾An underaged child constantly using digital gadgets is not flex , do not let the lifestyle you exposed your child to interfere with their vision. Limit prolonged exposure to digital gadgets today .

But please if you have grand parents ,great grand parents or even first generation parents that got blind ,then you also need to go test for glaucoma regularly so God can use your eye doctor to perfect your vision.

📌Glaucoma comes like a thief and that is why people with glaucoma are usually not even aware until the later stage of severe damage .

Do well to inform your relatives in their different locations to get their eyes tested regularly and don't forget to also check the younger ones .
