-Calculating ovulation: how to know the exact date?

Let's look at the different phases of the menstrual cycle: the first part of the cycle, which leads to ovulation, can vary in length depending on your individual cycle. However, menstruation always occurs fourteen days after ovulation.

If you have a 28-day cycle, ovulation will therefore occur on the 14th day.
If your cycle lasts 33 days, ovulation will occur on the 19th day (33-14=19).
If, on the other hand, your cycle is short, 21 days for example, ovulation will occur as early as the 7th day (21-14=7).
That's the theory. But while this calculation is useful, it remains rather imprecise. Indeed, it's rare to have cycles that are regular to the day. This means that the date of ovulation also varies. Fortunately, there are several signs to help you figure it out and calculate the day of ovulation, even when you have irregular cycles.

Ovulation Period: The Best Time to Get Pregnant
The most fertile days are the day before and the day of ovulation. This is when a woman has the best chance of conceiving. But be aware! The fertile window lasts longer than these two days. S***m can survive for about three days in a woman's body after in*******se. So, generally speaking, you can get pregnant three to five days before ovulation and one day after.

Please note that these calculations are not a substitute for contraception. Some women believe it's safe not to use contraception and risk getting pregnant unintentionally. It is therefore essential to use contraception and to be attentive to the early signs of pregnancy. However, these calculations can be helpful if you are planning a pregnancy.
