Never take Tetracycline while pregnant or breastfeeding.

If the teeth are exposed to Tetracycline at a time of tooth mineralization or calcification, the drug will bind to calcium ions in the teeth. This will cause an initial fluorescent yellow discoloration.
This yellow discoloration will still this happen even if the teeth is yet to protrude through the gums.

Tetracycline is not food. Stop abusing it.

For those who already have the yellowish discoloration, whitening the teeth can be very hard. But there are ways to do so.

You can speak to your dentist about Dental Veneers. This mostly involves placing a thin tooth-colored shell over the front surface of your teeth.

They're designed to look like natural teeth, and theyโ€™re able to cover tooth imperfections and discoloration.

Consult with your dentist.

In conclusion, Tetracycline is contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding because of the effects it has on the unborn / newborn child tooth formation, binding to calcium which is one of the most important materials for tooth formation, and causing yellow discoloration. Avoid!

Ear wax issues...

The excessive build up of wax in your ear can cause so many problem.. for example it can cause tinnitus ~ which is the ringing in your ears, nausea dizziness reduced hearing , hearing loss and even a muffled sounds or muffled hearing which sounds like you're submerged in water.
Earwax production is normal but excessive build up can lead to the problem I just mentioned. However, earwax itself does have a protective mechanism in that it helps to catch bugs( microbes) ,helps to protect your eardrum .
If you think you might have too much earwax do not shove in anything inside there , DONT USE COTTON BUD .. don't use anything that will further push the wax inside the canal and push it up against your EARDRUM and this is where the problem really starts to happen and if you are not careful you might BURST your EARDRUM...

Solutions:

If you have much earwax, you can use olive oil eardrops or sodium bicarbonate eardrops over the counter..

5 COMMON ANTIBIOTICS TO AVOID IN PREGNANCY
1. Ciprofloxacin 2. Septrin 3. Doxycycline 4. Tetracycline 5. Chloramphenicol

Before you take any medications during pregnancy, it is important that the benefit to you be weighed against the possible risk to your baby.

There is a concern of possible toxic effects of ciprofloxacin on your growing baby bone formation. Cartilage damage and arthropathy (disease of the joints) have been reported with ciprofloxacin use in pregnancy.

Though no controlled data in human pregnancy, birth defects and maternal hepatotoxicity (toxic effects on the liver) have been reported with use of tetracycline/doxycycline in pregnancy.
When used during tooth development (second half of pregnancy), tetracyclines may cause permanent yellow-gray-brown discoloration of the teeth and defects in the teeth structure.

Chloramphenicol has caused severe and sometimes fatal blood problems e.g anemia, low blood platelets, low white blood cell counts etc after both short-term and long-term use. These effects can be expressed in your growing baby especially if used at the latter stage of pregnancy. It is advisable to avoid using chloramphenicol if safer, effective medicines can be used.

Trimethoprim which is one of the active ingredient in Septrin (cotrimoxazole) is not a good option during pregnancy because it blocks the effects of folic acid. Folic acid is crucial before and during pregnancy because it reduces your baby's risk of developing neural tube and other birth defects. Septrin should not be used in pregnancy, particularly in the first 3months, unless clearly necessary. Folate supplementation should be considered if Septrin must be used in pregnancy.

Ensure you talk to your Doctor or Pharmacist before taking any drugp during pregnancy
