Today I will like to talk on how to effectively calculate your ovulation period with the hope of increasing your chance of getting pregnant. This will be useful particularly if you are trying to have a baby. During ovulation the chance of getting pregnant is high I mean very high. Let get into step by step of accurately calculating your ovulation period.
A. Determine your reproductive cycle. If I ask you how many days is your reproductive cycle can you confidently tell me the number of days it is?
To calculate your reproductive cycle, note the day you started your menstruation last month and start counting 1,2,3,4....... from that day till the day you first see your menstruation the following month. The number of days your counted equals your reproductive cycle.
For example, last month Mrs Olateju started her menstruation on the 14th October, while in the new month she started her menstruation on the the 10th of November, how many days is her cycle? Count from 14th of October to 10th of November, now you have the reproductive cycle. In her case her cycle is 28 days
B. 14th day from the end of your cycle is your ovulation period. In case of Mrs Olateju we start counting down from 9th of November, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1of November, 31 of October , 30, 29, 28, 27th of October. Now mark 27th of October as Mrs Olateju ovulation period. Since it's a period you add two day before 27th of October ( expected ovulation day) then two days after 27th of October, that makes five days, that is 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 of October form the ovulation period. Therefore if Mrs Olateju make love to her husband on these days, there are higher chances of getting pregnant provided;
No contraceptive method is use including withdrawal method
All other physiological factor are ok
