🌍 World Orphans Day 2025 💙

Today, as a proud member of ASOHON (Association of Orphanages and Homes Operators in Nigeria), we joined others in a rally for compassion — creating awareness about the importance of caring for orphans and vulnerable children.

Our message was simple but powerful: Every child deserves love, care, and a chance to thrive. 💫
We reminded the public that orphaned and vulnerable children are not statistics — they are future leaders, dreamers, and change-makers who only need a hand of love and inclusion.

At NIPSN, we believe that caring for children — especially those with disabilities — is not just charity; it’s a duty of humanity.
Let us all open our hearts and homes to children who need love and guidance. ❤️

One of my big babies…💙

This is Mr. Isaac Afolabi.I met him in 2019 after one of my radio programs.
He called me and told me he wanted to see me — but I didn’t go because I felt, if he really wants to be in NIPSN shelter, he will come.

Until one day he called again and said these words:

“I am lonely. I am an old blind man.
If you don’t come and rescue me, I will commit suicide.”

Those words shook me.

I asked for his address.
I went there with my mum.

When we got there — we met him alone.
His wife is late…
His children are adults — but they hardly care about him anymore.
They are also struggling.

From that day — I brought him home.
He became one of my big babies in NIPSN.
And to see how happy he is now…
to see him live, laugh, grow again…
It gives me joy.

I am a proud mother of big and small PWDs.
This is my calling.
This is my purpose.
This is who I am. 💙

🌸 Happy International Day of Charity! 🌸

Charity is not only about giving money — it is about love, kindness, and sharing what we have to lift others.

For me, as Sekinat Hammed, leading NIPSN has shown me how powerful charity can be. Every smile on the faces of children and persons with disabilities reminds me that even the smallest act of kindness can change a life.

So today, I open my heart again:
💜 If my skills or experience can help you, I am ready to share.
💜 If you need prayers, I will gladly join my voice with yours.
💜 If a small token can ease a burden, I am willing to give.

Most times, I wonder how you feel when you receive debt alerts after crediting NIPSN's account, knowing fully well that none of those children are yours or your relatives. You are a rare gem! Happy New Year i ,Sekinat. I really appreciate your love and support.
