As we bid farewell to 2024, we reflect on the incredible journey we've shared at NIPSN. Despite the challenges, we're thrilled to report that all our children are thriving, thanks to your unwavering support.

Your generosity helped us navigate the difficulties of skyrocketing food prices and daily needs. Your contributions ensured our children received nutritious meals, access to quality education, and experienced joy in abundance.

PHASE 1 UPDATE: NIPSN End of the Year Party (4-Phase Celebration)

HEARTFELT THANK YOU!

To our amazing lovers, cheerful givers, and supporters of NIPSN, we're deeply grateful for your love and support that made Phase 1 of our End of the Year Party a resounding success!

In Phase 1, we had a wonderful time with:

Health talks, medication, and free drugs for the aged at Ariori Village
Fun interactions with the children
Exciting competitions with prizes for outstanding children, including:

Most Hardworking Male/Female
Most Respectful Male/Female
Most Caring Male/Female

Each prize worth ₦4,000!

All children in NIPSN received gift items worth ₦3,000 each!

Schedule:

- 7:30 am - 8:30 am: Breakfast
- 8:30 am: Health Talk, Tests, and Medication for NIPSN Children and the Aged at Ariori Village
- 1st Game: Male vs. Female NIPSN Teams
- 30-minute Dance Session
- "Who called You" Challenge: Founder vs. Her Children
- 2nd Game and Prize/Award Ceremony for Children and Staff
- Founder's Thanksgiving Speech
- Lunch and Dance

Update on Day 2 of JDS Ability Sport 2024

Today, December 5th, 2024, was an exciting day at the Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort as we continued with the JDS Ability Sport 2024. Here's a recap of the day's activities:

- 7:30 am: Participants emerged from their lodges and headed to the stadium for a day of thrilling competitions.
- 8:10 am: After warming up, participants had breakfast, and the day's activities commenced with Para Tennis and preparations for the Goalball events.
- 9:30 am: The Blind Soccer competition kicked off, with Ogbomoso facing off against Oyo. Ogbomoso emerged victorious with a 6-0 win, qualifying them for the finals. The second match saw Ibadan take on Oke Ogun, with Ibadan winning 2-1.
- 1:45 pm: The Blind Soccer competition came to a close, with Ogbomoso and Ibadan set to face each other in the finals tomorrow.
- 2:00 pm: The Para Powerlifting event took center stage, with Osewa Toyosi winning the best lift with an impressive 120kg. She will be presented with her gold medal and prize tomorrow at the final event. Ferdinard Rita secured the silver medal with a best lift of 100kg.
- 2:35 pm: The Para Powerlifting event concluded, and participants took a break for lunch and relaxation at the lodge.
- 4:30 pm: The afternoon session began with the semifinals of Para Tennis and Goalball. In the first semifinal of Para Tennis, Chika Eweren defeated Helen Onogbe 4/0, 4/0. The second semifinal saw Afuape Bisoye beat Christianah Olowolagba 4/1, 3/5, 10/3.
- In the Goalball competition, Ogbomoso won against Oyo, while Ibadan won against Oke Ogun. Both teams, Ogbomoso and Ibadan, will face each other in the finals tomorrow.
- The Wheelchair Racing event saw Olaiya Joel emerge victorious on the male side, while Kasali Grace won on the female side.
- The day's activities concluded with the Bottle Knockdown event.

The day's activities came to a close, with participants looking forward to the final day of competitions tomorrow. Stay tuned for updates on the final day of JDS Ability Sport 2024!

Update on Day 1 of JDS Ability Sport 2024

Today was an exciting day at the Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort as we kicked off the JDS Ability Sport 2024! Here's a recap of the day's activities:

- 11:00 am: Participants arrived at the resort and underwent registration, receiving their kits, which included vests, side bags, caps, and meal tickets.
- 1:30 pm: Participants had lunch and then returned to their lodges to rest.
- 6:00 pm: The grand opening ceremony commenced with an opening prayer by Mr. Akin, followed by the national anthem and the Oyo State anthem.
- 6:30 pm: The welcome speech was delivered by Mrs. Sekinat Hammed, Founder of Network for Inclusion of People with Special Needs (NIPSN).
- 7:00 pm: The first game of the tournament, Tug of War, took place, with teams from Oyo, Ibadan, Oke Ogun, and Ogbomoso competing. Ogbomoso emerged victorious in the male category, while Oyo won in the female category.
- 9:00 pm: The day's program came to a close with dinner, followed by music and dance.
