World Hepatitis Day is tomorrow…
Theme: Lets break it down

Hepatitis is a highly contagious viral liver infection. The good news is that there’s a vaccine that serves to prevent even the most dreaded strain. Also, there’s effective medical treatment.

Amongst the entire population in Nigeria, only those born during the start of this millennium can claim to have received the vaccine at birth. If you are above the age of 20 you may not have had it as it was not a routine infant vaccination back then...

Why remain blind to hepatitis? Sometimes the early stages of the liver infection can go on without signs until the liver is almost totally wrecked.
