DIABETES

When glucose is in your bloodstream, it needs help — a “key” — to reach its final destination. This key is insulin (a hormone). If your pancreas isn’t making enough insulin or your body isn’t using it properly, glucose builds up in your bloodstream, causing high blood sugar (hyperglycemia).
WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF DIABETES?
There are several types of diabetes. but we will discuss about the major .
1.TYPE 2 DIABETES: With this type, your body doesn’t make enough insulin and/or your body’s cells don’t respond normally to the insulin (insulin resistance). This is the most common type of diabetes. It mainly affects adults, but children can have it as well.

3.Type 1 diabetes: This type is an autoimmune disease in which your immune system attacks and destroys insulin-producing cells in your pancreas for unknown reasons. Up to 10% of people who have diabetes have Type 1. It’s usually diagnosed in children and young adults, but it can develop at any age.

WHAT'S PELVIC INFLAMMATORY DISEASE (PID) ?

Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) is an infection of the female reproductive organs. It most often occurs when s*xually transmitted bacteria spread from your va**na to your uterus, fallopian tubes or ovaries.
The signs and symptoms of pelvic inflammatory disease can be subtle or mild. Some women don't experience any signs or symptoms. As a result, you might not realize you have it until you have trouble getting pregnant or you develop chronic pelvic pain.

SYMPTOMS OF PID.
1) Pain — ranging from mild to severe — in your lower abdomen and pelvis
2) Unusual or heavy va**nal discharge that may have an unpleasant odor
3) Unusual bleeding from the va**na, especially during or after s*x, or between periods
4) Pain during s*x
5) Fever, sometimes with chills
6) Painful, frequent or difficult urination.

CAUSES
Many types of bacteria can cause PID, but GONORRHEA or CHLAMYDIA INFECTIONS are the most common. These bacteria are usually acquired during unprotected s*x.

Less commonly, bacteria can enter your reproductive tract anytime the normal barrier created by the cervix is disturbed. This can happen during menstruation and after childbirth, miscarriage or abortion. Rarely, bacteria can also enter the reproductive tract during the insertion of an intrauterine device (IUD) — a form of long-term birth control — or any medical procedure that involves inserting instruments into the uterus.

HELICOBACTER PYLORI INFECTION .

H.pylori is a type of bacteria 🦠 that affect the stomach.
It can damage the tissue in your stomach and the first part of your small intestine ( the duodenum),This can cause redness and soreness ( inflammation).

CAUSES OF H.PYLORI

1) from person to person through direct contact with saliva, vomit or stool.
2) H. pylori may also be spread through contaminated food or water.

SYMPTOMS OF H.PYLORI INFECTION
1)an acne or burning pain in your stomach
2) Stomach pain that may be worse when stomach is empty.
3 ) Nausea
4) Loss of appetite.
5) Frequent burping
6) Bloating
7) Unintentional weight loss.

COMPLICATIONS OF H.PYLORI

1) ULCER : H.pylori can damage the protection lining of the stomach and small intestine.
This can allow stomach acid to create an open sore ( ulcer).
2 ) inflammation of the stomach .
3) Stomach cancer:H.pylori infection is a strong risk factor from certain types of stomach Cancer.

WHAT IS AN ULCER ?
Ulcers are sores on the lining of your stomach or small intestine. Sores also could be on your esophagus (throat). Most ulcers are located in the small intestine. These ulcers are called duodenal ulcers. Stomach ulcers are called gastric ulcers. Ulcers in the throat are called esophageal ulcers.

WHAT CAUSES ULCERS?
A bacterial infection called HELICOBACTER PYLORI (H. PYLORI) is typcially what causes ulcers. Acids from the foods we eat can make the pain and discomfort worse.
Long-term use of aspirin or anti-inflammatory medicines (ibuprofen) are also a common cause of ulcers. Stress and spicy foods can make an ulcer worse.

SYMPTOMS OF AN ULCER

Common ulcer symptoms include

1, Discomfort between meals or during the night (duodenal ulcer)
2, Discomfort when you eat or drink (gastric ulcer)
3, Stomach pain that wakes you up at night
4,Feel full fast
5, Bloating, burning, or dull pain in your stomach
6, Comes and goes days or weeks at a time
6, The discomfort lasts for minutes or hour.
CAN AN ULCER BE PREVENTED OR AVOIDED?
You cannot prevent an ulcer caused by an H. pylori infection. However, you can reduce your risks by limiting aspirin and anti-inflammatory medicines. Avoid foods that are acidic (orange juice) and spicy to reduce discomfort. Avoid caffeine and alcohol.
