International Nurses Week marked in grand style recently at the facility

The Medical Director/CEO, General Hospital, Ijede, Dr. Olufemi Aletan has given accolades to the Nurses at the facility for their enthusiasm, commitment and dedication in the discharge of their duty.

This was said recently at the facility in commemoration of the Year 2025 International Nurses Week. Activities at the week-long event include an opening ceremony with a presentation on the theme "Our Nurses. Our Future. Caring for Nurses Strengthens Economies", free medical outreach to Lagosians, food competition and quiz segment by various wards at the grand finale.

Every 6th-12th May is recognized World Wide as International Nurses Day. This year's theme emphasize the importance of promoting nurses' health and wellness for the overall benefit of society.
