ITCHING AFTER BATHING : HOW TO PREVENT IT
Aquagenic pruritus is the term used to describe this condition.
It is rare skin condition that causes intense itching when water touches your skin, without visible symptoms like hives or rashes.
This burning sensation can last more an hour and it's quite discomforting.

The exact cause of this condition remains a mystery.
However, it's been attributed to abnormal skin function, nervous response, or immune system functions.
It can be hereditary, but no specific gene has been identified yet.
Other times, it may occur as a result of other conditions like polycythemia vera, chronic urticaria, and certain blood cancers.

This condition can appear in nearly every part of your body but it's more common on the legs, arms, chest, and back.
TREATMENT AND PREVENTION
Medications: medications such as Antihistamines and SSRIs are used
Topical Treatments: Capsaicin lotions
Coating your skin before showering acts as a barrier and may help offer some relieve
Avoid hard bathing sponges
If hot water triggers your symptoms, use warm or cold water instead
Avoid harsh bathing soap
Keep your skin moisturized and if possible
