PELVIC INFLAMMATORY DISEASE (PID) and Infer-tility:
PID is an infection of a woman's reproductive organs. Is important to treat PID right away because it can cause scar tissue formation in the reproduc-tive system. Some women also present with long standing fever.
PID is diagnosed through abdomino-pelvic ultra sound scan which indicates significant fluid accumulation in the Pouch of Doughlas [POD]
